Canned 11/2/23, drunk 12/22/24.
Large, greyish-dark-beige head is well-retained atop a very dark body.
Lovely yeast in the nose is earthy, plastery, heavy with mineral and moderate fruit. Restrained raisin, mild milk chocolate, caramel and a bit of dark chocolate with no alcohol or excess sugar.
Big, fluffy, chocolatey beer with a bit of chewy sweetness and a very, very fruity yeast. Raisin, caramel, vanilla and cherry are heavy with no alcohol or all that much bitterness. Not over-roasted. Fairly simplistic with a chicory and brown sugar sweetness and just a touch of warming alcohol and bitterness on the very end. Nice balance though, with good attenuation (though it took a year to get there; the stuff was close to undrinkable when fresh). I do like the slight chewiness and moderate sweetness yet very good attenuation overall.

Tap at Drunk Uncle. Presumably an old keg, but maintains perfectly. Lemon lime earthy with an awesome cracker body. This is awesome. Hints of mineral funk. One of the most pronounced examples of the style I've had

I rarely have much to say about the appearance of a beer but damn this a nice looking pint, pure deep clear amber 2 finger head, lasting lace. Excellent balance it’s a damn near perfect pale ale in all respects.
