Description
DEYA Brewing Company is an independent brewery in Cheltenham, UK. We focus on hoppy beers, lagers, traditional UK styles and mixed fermentation ales. We strive to make world class beer.

Theo founded DEYA in 2015 having become obsessed with American beer and beer culture. In January 2016, Theo picked up the keys to a 4,000ft2 industrial unit in Cheltenham. Once the 10bbl brewery kit was installed, the burgeoning DEYA team dedicated themselves to producing the most delicious pale ales, IPAs and hoppy beers that they could. In 2017, following more national and international acclaim, brewing capacity is doubled with the addition of three 40HL fermentation vessels. In March 2018, a 1000 cans per hour canning line was purchased to complement the four new 40HL fermentation vessels that were to be added in October. This move takes capacity to 3,500HL. In 2019 year we are expanding into a new 25,000 sq/ft premises and installing a bespoke 40hl 4 vessel brewhouse allowing us to significantly increase capacity.

We take a holistic approach to business, striving to be the best employer we possibly can be, while operating in a fair, sustainable and human driven way.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, decent pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, a modest sweetness but, that works here. Finally! Manilita on it's Jack Jones! Light cooling pine, a little savoury skunk. I'm looking for red grapefruit, it's there, doesn't exactly leap out the glass. Some soft mandarin and tangerine and a little hop spice closes the show. Nice brew but, incurable hop geek that I am, I don't think I fully understand this hop yet. This wasn't the beer to really educate me.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Light palate, a very mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, sweet enough for this brew. NZ02 hops, interesting. The near ubiquitous cooling pine of course. Very light skunk, a little savoury. A nice spicy lemon zest underneath. I get the claimed sweet citrus, the passion fruit? Well pretty subtle, not sure I would have spotted unaided. Hop spice on the finish and a touch of candy fruits, candyish mandarin. Light finish. Nice beer, very interesting hop.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, small and short lived pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Light bodied pale malts, an equally light creamy sweetness, feels right for this brew. Nelson Sauvin brings very light skunk under a good cooling pine. Soft grape and mellow gooseberry on the back end. Pinch of hop spice. Very easy drinking. The Nelson could deliver a bit more fruit punch but that is a nit pick.
