Description
DEYA Brewing Company is an independent brewery in Cheltenham, UK. We focus on hoppy beers, lagers, traditional UK styles and mixed fermentation ales. We strive to make world class beer.

Theo founded DEYA in 2015 having become obsessed with American beer and beer culture. In January 2016, Theo picked up the keys to a 4,000ft2 industrial unit in Cheltenham. Once the 10bbl brewery kit was installed, the burgeoning DEYA team dedicated themselves to producing the most delicious pale ales, IPAs and hoppy beers that they could. In 2017, following more national and international acclaim, brewing capacity is doubled with the addition of three 40HL fermentation vessels. In March 2018, a 1000 cans per hour canning line was purchased to complement the four new 40HL fermentation vessels that were to be added in October. This move takes capacity to 3,500HL. In 2019 year we are expanding into a new 25,000 sq/ft premises and installing a bespoke 40hl 4 vessel brewhouse allowing us to significantly increase capacity.

We take a holistic approach to business, striving to be the best employer we possibly can be, while operating in a fair, sustainable and human driven way.

Tap. Cotteridge. Murky, pale gold. Skim of white head. Nose has peach stone. Some bready malts. Some orange rind. Taste is light, rindy bitter. Some sweetness on the lips. Soft fizz. Some sweetness to finish. Not as punchy as Deya’s other offerings.

Can 500ml (AbM, BB 150517)
Murky yellow color, small white head and some lace. Citrus and Mosaic gasoline in the nose, which is a bit juicy too. Medium-bodied. Citrus, gooseberry, juicyness leading to sweetish fruity finish. Lots of flavour for 5,2% beer. Nice.

Can split at Leightons 20K, thanks to Daniel, 01/03/17. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is orange pith, straw, pine needle, sticky tropical fruit medley, cantaloupe melon. Taste comprises mandarin, mango, tangerine, orange pith, soft breads. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close slathered with juicy hop bitterness. Decent easy drinking DIPA but comes up a bit short against some recent English DIPA releases !

Can at Craft Islington, thanks to Dave. It pours murky yellow - gold wit a small white head. The aroma is sweet - sour, tangy, fruity, apricot, peach, candy and honey. The taste is soft, sweet, oily, bready, honeyed fruits, grainy, quite sugary, honey loops and pine. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit sweet and tangy for me. Fun idea, but it doesn’t work for me.
