Re-rate, January 11th 2014. Unclear red-brown color, full sized off-white to beige head that lasts for quite some time. Smell and taste malts, some caramel, some sweet-bitter, lightly hints of raisins, dried fruits and nuts. Medium to full body and carbonation. [Original rating: Bottle at Cafe buitenlust, Oirschot. Dark brown color, light brown head. Not the best smell, but a nice taste. Medium to firm carbo, medium to full body. (6-4-8-4-14=3.6)]

Bottle at Cafe buitenlust, Oirschot. Brown color. Not the best smell but a nice taste. Love the carbonation in combination with the alcoholpercentage in this beer. Medium body. Useful beer.

11.2oz bottle from Greenwood poured into my Chimay glass. Pours a very dark brown with almost no head. What little is there is dark tan before it totally dissipates. Aroma is quite malty. Sweet cereal, chocolate and a little coffee. Also has a scent of dates. Taste is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes almost like a semi-sweet red wine. Also, holy crap the alcohol! Medium bodied with a very fizzy texture. The carbonation almost makes the beer explode in your mouth. Has quite the long finish on this one. Overall, its pretty good. I think its way overrated but I’ll enjoy this glass then probably never drink it again.

Pours a deep amber-brown with good clarity and a fizzy head. There are some floaties, but I could have avoided them with a better pour. The aroma is a mix of floral, brown sugar, bready malt, fruit - raisins, peaches, apricots, plums - and earth. There’s little that I can easily ascribe to hops. It smells kinda like a fresh hunk of cinnamon raisin bread topped and honeysuckle. The taste is also quite nice. Lots of sweetness that quickly blossoms into earthy complexity. The feel is a bit fizzy for my taste but not bad. This is a very good beer with plenty of Belgian yeast flavor.

33 cl bottle, BBE 141015
Rather spicy has some aged fruits. Flavour has also lot of spices, some aged fruits. Alcohol-fulfilled finish. Quite much CO2 on dryish palate. Good, but too much CO2 and stands in the shadow of R10. It definitely has something that this lacks.
