Description
Illinois' largest independent craft brewery. Brewed in the heart of Chicago.
The change in the U.S. beer scene has undoubtedly been revolutionary. We are proud of what we have accomplished in our short time to become a leader and innovator in the industry. The evolving tastes of beer drinkers has demanded bigger flavors, more variety, and better beer. That’s exactly what we give you at Revolution Brewing. Between our brewery and our brewpub, we produce dozens of different beer styles every year. IPAs, porters, pilsners, Belgian-style ales, pale ales, barrel-aged beers — the list goes on!
Our brewery has been a labor of love. You can see it in everything we do, from the beautiful details of our mahogany bar at the brewpub, to the massive beauty of our eight 800 barrel fermenters at the brewery, to the commitment to quality in each beer that we put in a can or a keg. Revolution believes in the value of hard work. We work hard to provide great, accessible brews for everyday people. We have fun doing what we do and hope you have fun drinking our beers!

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to Cloin for the can. Near clear dark brown beer, small and short lived tan head. Thin bodied dark malts. A little dark chocolate. Some caramel and toffee. Mild oak induced vanilla. Good bourbon soaked ripe fruits. Soft finish. Slightly impy but tasty bw.

Can. Just a very light haze on this burnished gold beer, small cream colour head. Light palate, smooth start, decent fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Light malts, as you would expect, a modest sweetness. Some mild natural grain. Cooling pine hops. C hop citrus peel, touch of marmalade. Light finish brings a mild bitterness. Standard West Coast but clean and drinkable

Can.
A- Mahogany brown color, dark liquid, light brown head.
A- Malt, caramel, cherry, oak, vanilla, bourbon, faint peat.
F- Toffee, caramel, dark cherry, oak, bourbon, vanilla, subtle raisin, very faint smoke.
T- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, malty finish.
O- A fantastic scotch ale. Loads of toffee and a touch of sweetness. Had some peaty whisky flavor and a faint herbal note to it. Barrel is nice but doesn't over up the base beer. Complex and delicious.

Can from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a small and transient tan head. Peach wafts from the pour. The malt aroma seems to have a chocolate hint, and the spirits aroma is very mixed. Full bodied. Hint is not bothersome. Flavors of peach, bourbon and rum are discernible with some thought. Seek one at a time. Very smooth, no harshness. Wood comes out with time. Chocolate? Finally I think not. Something like wood/bourbon could be fooling me there.

355ml can. Clear amber gold with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of orange, marmalade, grapefruit, resinous. Taste is proper old school westie style, marmalade, orange, grapefruit, very resinous, piney, caramel, malts, dank and slightly floral hops, and finishing with a very strong lingering hop bitterness. Medium bodied.

355ml can. Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of orange, tangerine, pineapple, pine, malts. Taste of orange and grapefruit, tropical, pineapple, sweet malts, fairly strong hop bitterness. Medium bodied.
Very old school lean to this one, it's fine but not really what I expect nor want from the style these days.
