Bottle picked up from the brewery in Kašperské Hory and consumed at home Saturday 2nd August 2025 listening to Theodor - Holocene as Loz is making shortcrust pastry for a couple of hiking pies. Pours dark brown with a small beige head, however this is the third beer that I've had from Kašperskohorský and this one like the previous two would benefit from a little more carbonation. Nose is caramel and, yeah that's it caramel. Taste is also caramel and cola, mouthfeel is ok but a bit more carbonation would improve it, there is a little bit of chocolate and yeah it's okay but not really doing it for me.

Large PET bottle, had this Friday 1st August 2025. We picked up from the brewery a few weeks ago after a couple of days away in Šumava, we stopped at Kvilda. We're listening to Snapped Ankles - Hard Times Furious Dancing and cooking/preparing Masala Fish & Chips with Minty Peas from BBC Good Food August. Pours hazy warm gold with a small/mid sized white head white head, in fact carbonation a little bit on the low side. Floral notes on the nose, light honey, malts and there's also a suggestion of sweetness to follow Pleasant aroma, Flavour following a similar trajectory, but a bit forgettable, again think it bit more carbonation might lift things a little. It's ok.

PET, Mangled Ham, thx! Hazy red-amber body, no head. Odd caramel aroma, toffee, bit of dried fruit, slightly cola-like, bit stale. Creamy caramelly taste, dried fruit, bit dry, herbal, bit bitterish, maybe vague orange. Bit flat.

PET bottle picked up directly from brewery and consumed in the company of Ursula and Marko Saturday 19th July 2025 at the Mangled Ham tasting. Pours amber with a small white head, a blunt rather boring beer, caramel and toffee. Soft mouthfeel, but very disappointed with the carbonation which could be much better. Sweetness, it's a little flabby.

Bottle, shared with Fin and Loz in the garden after a lovely hike, along a river and to a brewery. Cloudy amber golden. Caramel, bread. Taste is crunchy, front heavy, creamy, buttery bready. Minty aftertaste, but that is probably the fresh mint I just picked and ate from a plant in the garden.

PET 1 litre bottle picked up from Kašperskohorský Pivovar in Kašperske Hory a couple of weeks ago after a lovely break in Kvilda, Šumava. We had this in the company of Ursula sat outside cooking Greek meatball, feta and tomato bake, Friday 18th July 2025 after a lovely walk from Teisnach to Böbrach. Pours light/mid amber, hazy, with a rapidly departing white head. Caramel dominates the aroma, soft mouthfeel, I feel that it could have a touch more carbonation and whilst I am sure that it's probably quite accurately hitting the style (though it's not a style I drink too that often) , it's not an exciting or particularly interesting beer. Caramel again, some sweetness, a little fruity with toffee. Fine.

Tap at SvS. Misty yellow body, white head. Herbal, bready sharp aroma. Very herbal-driven taste, light citric touches, touch of sulphur perhaps for a second, lean body. Bitterish finish at best, nice balance though. Unclean slightly, but still rocks!
