Lawson's, please rescue me from a rough tasting prior. I have in front of me a shiny yellow 19.2 oz can of Sip of Sunshine supplied by Half Time. Well appreciated by others apparently. Time to see if I am in agreeance. After the tilt inside of my throw-back beer glass, I determine a yellow-amber body headed by a heaping amount of completely white foam. The scent is hops, pine and a citrus sweetness. The drink is, well, it is rather decent. No fireworks but really solid. A hoppy intro, a touch of mango, hemp, bread, lemons and grapefruit together and a small caramel sweetness. Bitter, yes. Nice brew in a style I used to denigrate, times have changed. My last DIPA on RateBeer? I do not know right now. If so, it has been a good one.

16 oz. can at Beer Run UWS, pours a clear golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out plenty of grapefruit rind, piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with lots of piney hops, grapefruit, some citrus, and crisp biscuity malt. Lots of bitter pine and grapefruit on the finish. Classic west coast from the east coast.

Clear brass-to-light-copper. Medium-sized, white head, moderate retention.
Biscuit, toast and light pine with a bit of fruity citrus. Not hugely aromatic. Maybe a touch buttery (not diacetyl, I don't think). Pine and biscuit lingering.
Light, biscuity, a bit buttery (again not diacetyl, just the malt, I think). Not much hop character, honestly. Especially for 9 days old...just some pine, grass and vegetal notes. No juicy citrus or mango from the Citra. Just a really biscuity, rather bland, rather watery pale ale.

Dark purple with a small foamy pink head. Dryish and yeasty with dark berries. Medium finish and body.

16 oz. can. Aroma is grapefruit, orange marmalade, and mild pine. Flavor follows. Very old-school West Coast IPA character. A very mild hint of pine cleaner. Obviously, it’s a well-made beer, but just not my style of IPA that I normally enjoy these days.

16 ounce can. Medium gold pour. Large, frothy white head. Aromas of citrus and pine. Some floral notes as well. Flavor is sweet citrus, passion fruit, lemon and pine. Well done.
