Pint can. pours a clear gold with a smallish white head that soon fades into a fine scum. The aroma is mildly spicy with hops, corn and straw. The taste, like the aroma, is corn, hay, and mild noble hops. The palate seemed a bit thin and the carbonation was lively. Finished very short and dry. Overall: I really did not expect much, and so I was not disappointed.

4 oz draft. Aroma of mild cracker malt, soft yeast. Flavor Shows a good malt background with a light body. Finish is crisp with a mild hop balance. Standard macro lager. The price of a pint is not bad. Have no idea what a four pack would cost. Not sure how much this makes sense. Financially speaking

19.2 Fl. Oz. can purchased on my 2026 Vermont Easter trip. Clean, golden with a warm off-white frothy head, good retention and creamyish lacing streaks. Big citrus aromas with oranges, some tropical-stone fruit notes and a tad herbaceous hoppiness. Again, full-on oranges in the taste, with a nice balanced between the juice and zest. A wet mouthfeel with a touch of hop bitterness, going into some soft dryness. The alcohol is fairly well-hidden. Not hazy, full-juicy like NEIPA, not overly grassy like West Coast IPAs, but a nice in between that is quite easy to drink for 9.5% ABV.

Lawson's mostly top shelf for IPAs with me. This stovepipe can was acquired from Half Time some months ago, time to have a sampling. A basic beer glass is in place and I pour. The arrival is a clear orange-amber body completed by a full head of off-white foam. The smell is obvious at opening of the can, I get sweet tropical, citrus and a promise of hops. The taste is, well, it is good, strikes me as a hybrid IPA, a little of this, a bit of that. There is orange juice, grapefruit, plenty of hops and an accompanying bitterness, malt, crackers, caramel and a touch of mangoes. I will say IPAs are a distance from my favorite styles but this is one fine IPA. WC or NE style, you take your choice.

Clear gold, bubbly. Moderate white head, lower retention.
Grainy nose with very low hopping. Corny, not quite gluey, with some sharp notes suggesting not enough conditioning.
So it goes in the mouth. A disappointing macro clone; nothing German or Czech here. And not even a particularly well-done macro clone. Sweet and yet sharp at times with virtually no hop. Gets borderline too sweet and syrupy as it warms.
Are times so tough that Lawson's has to put out this crap? I don't know, maybe.

Aroma: light grassy to piney to earthy hop spice up front then some lime and salt notes; malts seems a lot fainter than the OG but I'm okay with that
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas in a slightly snappy sort of spicy and citrusy sort way, the malts seem once again extremely lower; finishes crisp, slightly salty with a touch of lime
Texture: light to medium bodied but seems a bit lighter than the OG, sessionable; very smooth along the tongue; nothing abrasive or assertive
Overall: what was once a Czech pilsener to me is now a beach sipper or something that sounds like someone would want for Cinco De Mayo. This isn't bad, but part of me thinks I liked the OG more.

Appearance: burnt orangey color with a finger's worth of white frothy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: pineapple, coconut, agave, honey, mixed citrusy notes, sweet wood, grapefruit and a touch of lemon
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet woody/honey tone to a tropical fruity sweet tone; finishes through all those aromas I mentioned
Texture: medium bodied, good sipper, some smoothness but light woody tones pinching the tongue ever so lightly
Overall: a very nicely done Tequila barrel aged TIPA worthy of coming back to
Bottle to snifter.

Canned on: 10/24/2025. Bijna zwart en een bruine schuimkraag met een weinig retentie. Geur is geroosterd, sticky toffee, rood fruit. Retronasaal is het veel meer geroosterd, koffiedik, iets rood fruit, een vleugje karton. Smaak is vrij geroosterd/gebrand bitter en licht tot medium zoet. Het is wel iets dunnetjes. Eindigt met dikke roast, koffiedik en flinke bitterheid.
