Many thanks to Rian for this bottle! The beer starts malty and smooth. Easy to drink with a quite grainy background. Smooth-grainy and not too sweetish. Moderate neutral bitter in the end. If I wouldn’t have seen the colour, I might have thought it is a golden-coloured Festbier. Not much roast there, not much caramel. More grain and a neutral bitter, slightly roasted finish. But: The warmer it gets, the more roasted and dark it becomes. So if not drunken directly from the fridge, it becomes a bit more aromatic, but still way too flat for a Dunkles from Franconia.

Diverse Flaschen, u.a. von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin.
