On tap at GBBF 08. Hazy gold, thin white head. Yep, it’s a pretty good pils, good sting on the end. No real depth to it. But you wouldn’t expect that. Good though.

Bottle, RBESG08 grand tasting Hazy amber-orange body. Honey and grain in the nose and the same goes for the taste. A pleasant pale bock.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a deep golden with floating impurities and a creamy, off-white head. Lovely floral hoppy nose. Quite full-bodied with lots of sweet malts but no bitterness. 290608

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy golden with a white head. Oxidized, malty nose, Medium body, sweetish malty with a little caramel and a note of overripe fruit. Some bitterness in the finish. Over the top I’m afraid. 080408

Bügelverschlußflasche (purchased at the brewery): Deep, deep golden coloured, smaller, but persistent off-white foamy layer, a bit unclear; a soloud mix of Tettnang (?) hops and sweet malt in the nose; quite sweet, slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; spicy, sweet and herbal hoppy finish with a tinge of warming brandy in the aftertaste. Quite decent, but not so well rounded........

Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Golden, mid-sized firm white foam, deceptive, clean pale malty nose with very distinctive (Saaz?) hoppy traces; solid bitter-sweet flavour, soft MF, low carbonation; lingering hoppy aftertaste after a sweet and clean pale-malty finish. Reminds You a bit of a ripe cornfield on a hot summer day. Superb Helles !

Bottle: Pale golden, small, but stable head; moderate yeasty-wheaty-fruity nose (nuts and vanilla ?); light bodied, a bit oily, light sweet-sourish flavour; light citrousy-sourish finish with a wheaty touch. Refreshing, but all in all a bit thin.........

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm
Golden with big, fluffy head. Light buttery aroma with notes of hops. Flavour is dominated by a long, herbal bitterness. A very good Pilsener.
