Darkest brown. Aroma is roast, chocolate, sweet diabetes, soy sauce, peanut. Taste is rich soy sauce, some lacto, diabetes, and a little roast bitterness. Quite ok.

Can. Darkest brown, low brown head. Sweet candy cinnamon, bakers choc, soy, medium dry, a bit algae, candyish finish.

Shaker pint draft at The Bar in Mission, Kansas. The pour is yellow, orange, fully hazed with basically no head. Looked like a glass of pineapple orange juice when it arrived. The aroma is sweet fruit stripe gum, lemon and a hint of cereal malt. The taste is bright, slightly artificial fruit stripe gum, bright lemon citrus, and finishes with mild malt notes. The palate is medium bodied, unfiltered with low carbonation and the lingering sort of weird sweetness.

750ml bottle pours a dark brown with a ring of ecru head. Nose has coconut cake, chocolate covered raisins, molasses, some dried Chile. Flavor is malt, carob and chocolate, tootsie roll, raisins, some cola, some spice now. Full bodied, sticky and spicy finish. 8 3 8 4 14

22oz bottle at the late December DC RB Tasting. Poured a dark brown, almsot black color with a medium sized light tan head. Aroma was plenty of ancho chilies, cinnamon, chocolate, with a touch of vanilla. Roasted. Slightly boozy, pleasant, cinnamon, vanilla. Tasty.

12oz can pours a clear gold with some frothy, white head. Nose has dusty hay, straw, grist flour, lemon, soap. Flavor is bitter and tannic, lemon, tea, orange, malt. Finishes slick and bitter.

Draft. A- Grassy, citrus, slightly dusty. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Mild pine, citrus, slightly malty, dusty, grassy. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not a bad IPA. Replacing a completely different IPA which seems odd, but this one is alright.

12 oz. can purchased at The Beer Store, Southhampton, PA. Full thick head on top a black liquid. Aroma of chalky ash, weak chocolate, light coffee. Cocoa nib dominates the flavor. Coffee, dark fruits notes. Thick full body, nice texture. Alcohol is noticed even when cold.
