Almost clear golden color with lots of floating orange zest and a white head. Nose is malty, decent tropical fruits. Taste is hoppy and fruity, orange and orange zest. Not as juicy as expected . --- Beer merged from original tick of Double Fresh Pressed Juice Bomb on 12 Feb 2024 at 03:42 - Score: 7. 335 ml can from Beer Republic advent calendar poured into a Tulip. Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, tropical impressions, pines, and melon. The taste is bitter. Medium body, rather rich for the abv. Drying, fruity finish. Nice.

Can from the Beer Republic advent calendar, drunk at home after mounting the last ceiling sound absorber panels. Super chunky sediment/haze, wha happen? No expiry on can. It's not that old, i would expect!? Orange amber chunky, big lacy head, super orange juicy nose. Tastes a bit weird in body, lactose? Not as juicy flavor as advertised, i guess either brewery or BR stuck in an expired beer. Maybe a bit oxidized too. Booo!

Ridiculously hazy straw yellow coloured body that looks closer to orange juice than golden, with a one to two centimetre tall frothy white head that fades quickly and leaves an ugly lace on the sides. Aroma of light wheat, coriander seed, light citrus fruit and oranges - hey: is this a hefeweizen? Only a dash of very low alpha acid hops are noticeable in the nose, no deep malts and definitely no alcohol. Light-bodied; Some wheat and oats show up front with a slight dryness, but soon afterwards, only a bit of lactose and asapartame are noticeable - no hops, no bitterness, no real fruits and no depth at all! Aftertaste is just as mild and underwhelming - watery, with some light oats and wheat noticeable and perhaps a single orange squeezed into the pint can - that's all this tastes like! Overall, a VERY mellow beer that doesn't seem like an IPA at all, even a super new-school, new england IPA - this is bland. If you want to drink a 'beer' that goes down easily and has minimal flavour - this one is for you. Not a bad beer, just nothing to it. Good to try super fresh as this had nothing to do with age! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Alexandria (Carlyle Crossing), Virginia on 25-August-2022 for US$2,33 (part of a mixed six pack), canned on 17-July-2022? and sampled at my house here the day after purchase on 26-August-2022.

Very hazy golden and straw coloured body with a thinnish and very fast-dying off-white head, about two centimetres tall that goes away after a few seconds, above the 80 per cent opaque body. Aroma of coconut, pineapple, light grass, hay, flowers, wheat and hey - just like a beer version of a Pina Colada! Light to Medium-bodied; Crisp coconut and very tropically fresh pineapple flavours show at first with a lot of grass and hay here as well, with some light bitterness coming from the malts and ending with a nice, soft sweetness from the fruits. Aftertaste is crisp, fairly dry and pretty tropically, with some smooth coconut and pineapple notes that contribute to the sweetness, but enough complexity from the above and to be balanced nicely and to have a light hoppiness and some very small bitterness associated to the alpha acids. Overall, very nice to try, as I love real Pina Coladas and this one worked out very well, especially as a lower ABV IPA! Great to have fresh and from Upstate New York! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Gainesville (Lake Manassas), Virginia on 19-June-2022 for US$2,33 (part of a mixed six pack), canned on 18-April-2022 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 29-July-2022, a few hours before leaving on Summer Vacation to Peru and Chile with my wife and three kids!

Can from Loz's, Beer Republic, Bieradventskalender consumed at home Saturday 27th January 2024 after a lovely loop hike from Bishofmais to Teufeltisch and back. We're listening to Gruff Rhys - Sadness Sets Me Free, we had Chicken, Pistachio and Black Pepper Curry with a Lime and Coriander Rice. Pours murky, dirty, yellow colour with a white head, juicy with a tropical edge, soft mouthfeel, there's a little punchiness to this, it's got a feisty edge. Nice.
