Yeasty with a touch of diacetyl, also with a outsized lemon presence that isn’t altogether pleasant. Piney in the middle before offering notes of dank and resin on the back end. Messy, messy NEIPA. Pass.

Solid Mosaic IPA, full of passion fruit, mango, grapefruit, mandarin, and peach, backed up by notes of bubblegum and earth, with a modest pine bitterness on the back end. Finishes a bit harsh, with a minor astringency screwing up the texture. Otherwise, a good NEIPA.

Lots of grapefruit, passion fruit, berry, lychee, and tangerine, with a pine bitterness on the back end. Very little malt to offer much for the hops to play with, vegetal undertone and yeast in the fade. Decent.

Super hazy golden/strawcoloured body witha thick, very dense five to six centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat for a long time over the rich and 80 per cent opaque body. Aroma of dry grass and perfume with a light touch of limes and lemons and some white wine grapes and even tropical fruits noticeable. Light-bodied; Crisp, grassy, floral, perfumey and a touch tropically fruity notes show through with some very mellow hop bitterness and pungency, but really this is all about the dryness, perfumey and slightly citrusey notes which almost exclusively derive from the hops, with at least a mellow yeast and malt nose to let the hops shine through at least. Aftertaste is very dry, crisp, perfumey, dare I say, slightly soapy that has some nice flavours, but a bit too one-dimensional and 'crisp' throughout, to make this nice. Plus, without any alpha acids here and no real complexity on the tastes that come from the hops - this Riwaka is definitely not my favourite. Overall, at least nice to try this hop once, but I'm not such a big fan. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Alexandria, Virginia on 16-December-2021 for US$1,99 (part of a mixed six pack), canned on 11-November-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on my second daughter's [lucky number] Seventh birthday on 02-January-2022 - Happy Birthday Paige!!!

Very hazy, super cloudy and incredibly pale golden and straw coloured body with a very thick, four to five centimetre tall soapy tan head. Aroma of light citrus fruit, resin, flowers, grass, hay a bit of sour candy and some pale, very easy-on-the-nose malts/wheat. Medium-bodied; Very crisp dry flavours at first that show a nice herbal and very perfumey hop characteristic that DOES have some alpha acid bitterness with a touch of lemons and chamomile tea towards the end and a soft, but surprisingly supportive malt profile. Aftertaste shows the nice dryness throughout, with some herbal and grassiness here, but the citrus fruit and soft resinous notes show more. Overall, a nice crisp, very easy-drinking, almost NE IPA that's definitely unfiltered, but a bit light on any 'juicy' notes, although the citrus does show here, but really only in terms of bitterness. Great to sample, just after one day following Santa's arrival at our house to bring presents to three joyous kids. Great to have this one, this time of the year, even though the beer had nothing to do with Santa/Christmas, but at least the label was nice and festive. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Sterling, Virginia on 09-December-2021 for US$1,99 (as part of a mixed six pack), sampled at my house here in Washington just a day after Christmas 2021 on 26-December-2021.

Can 12fl.oz. @home poured into a shaker. Slightly hazy pale amber colour, small stable frothy white head, light lacing. Aroma pale malts, orange, stone fruit, light pine notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grapefruit, piney notes, bit dank. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, lingering dry bittersweet aftertaste, strong resinous notes, nice.

16 oz can shared by tfontana, thanks! Aroma is malt and mild tropical fruits medley. Flavor is peach, mango, and soft citrus notes. A decent juicy character. A ton of fruit. About what you expect in the style.
