440ml can at home. Darker pour than most NEIPAs, deep amber almost light brown, with a medium off white head. Nose is pineapple, mango, tropical fruit, slight bit of green onion. Flavour is bitter ripe tropical fruit, malt backbone. Soft carbonation.

Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Average heavy bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle at home, from an online peddler - watching the final cinders burn away of Englands disastrous 3rd test in India - although India's pitch preparation has to be called into question ... just to get a win by lottery FFS ... lets make a 5 day event into a not even 2 day shit shoot - clowns! 25/02/21. Deep mahogany brown with a decent beige cap that dissipates edgeward. Nose is dark malts, light coffee bean, roasted tones, dried fruits, toffee crisp. Taste comprises dried fruits, roast malts, brown sugar sprinkle, raisins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light dryness in the close. Decent stout.

Can from beerclub. Cloudy gold with a medium head. Aroma of citrus hop. Flavour is fruit syrup, sharp bitter hop, chewy oat base on a long bitter fruit finish.

330ml bottle from Honest Brew. My first dark saison. Look - dark ruby red, small beige head, some retention. Nose - liquorice, treacle, tart; interesting. Taste - sharp citrus, zest, treacle, spice. Its odd but strangely warming going down which might be the ginger. Palate - moderate body, high carbonation. There isn't anything that holds all the flavour elements together. However there is certainly a complexity here which stops it getting boring. Its one of those that grows on you the more you drink.

Bottle. Nose is tar, treacle, wheat, hobby of soft licorice. Taste is lemon spice pepper leading to dark malt, light treacle, yeast. It's a mess of flavours that is being sold on a novelty style. It should have remained a failed homebrew
