Description
Loch Lomond Brewery started life in our kitchen in Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond.
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

March 2022: 440 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Hazy yellow colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrus, peaches and tropical fruits. Light bodied as expected. The flavour is not too sweet, and has notes of citrus, yellow stonefruits and tropical fruits again, a moderate hop bitterness in the finish. Might buy again, but only on a hot summer's day.

440 ml can, from Birk Bryggeriutsalg, Klepp. ABV is 4.0%. Slightly hazy pale golden colour, large white head. Moderate aroma of crushed white grapes and crushed green gooseberries, hints of lychee, grain and dust. Light bodied. Medium dry flavour, notes of said fruits, low bitterness. A nice refreshment, but not particularly memorable.

Cask @Treefolk's (Rome). Bruna/nera, intensa, schiuma ecrù media a bolle grossolane. Al naso note di malti tostati, caffè, cioccolato, leggera nota metallica che svanisce in breve tempo. In bocca è dolce all'attacco, cioccolato e note tostate, caffè in chiusura, appena amara. Corpo medio-leggero, carbonazione soft. Non bilanciatissima, alla lunga stucca un po'.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden and clear with steady carbonation and a quickly disappearing head. Nose - orange, grapefruit and bready. Taste - pink grapefruit, bready, then fairly crisp pilsner-like finish. Palate - light bodied, fruity middle and crisp finish. Overall - drinks like India Pale Lager. Very fruity.

Cask at Prince of Wales, Aberdeen. It pours crystal clear yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is fresh, fruity, fragrant, rather juicy, candied lemon, melon, lychee, pic n mix, jelly babies and floral accents. The taste is soft and smooth upfront, sweet, mellow fruity vibes, candied lemon, lemonade, fruit salad, pic n mix, powdered sugar, touch of mid palate dryness and some uch tea biscuit with a drying finish. Average body and moderate carbonation. Really like the bright fruity aroma, but the taste is more mellow, more sweet.
