Loch Lomond Brewery
Microbrewery
in Alexandria,
West Dunbartonshire,
Scotland 🏴
Associated Venue: Loch Lomond Brewery Tap
Established in 2011
A desire to brew beer and create a family business that would allow the whole family to get involved we started in 2011 in Alexandria.
Now having brewed a number of award winning beers including CAMRA Champion Beer of Scotland in 2017 and SIBA Supreme Cask Champion of the UK in 2016, we have recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.
Still brewing on our original 10bbl kit our passion has not faded - in fact we are probably more fanatical now about our existing beers and new recipes than ever before.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear 2013. It pours amber with a medium beige head. The nose is ripe, earth, wood, dirt and earth. The taste is earth, toast, wood, light bitterness, must, dust and orange peel with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent enough bitter.

500ml bottle at home. Black pour, thin tan head. Kind of blackcurrant and liquorice aromas, hints of coffee and ash. Taste continues this theme, erring towards the sweet. Medium body, slightly thin texture, soft carbonation. Ends up roasted bitter. Not bad, but not great either.
