Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Lightly hazy pale gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, semi dry and crispy. Light malt base, smooth, mildly sweet. Really nice floral - lemon zing, fresh and lively. Touch of hop spice. Whisper of marmalade. Light dry crisp finish. Nice one.

Bottle from Aldi. Poured goden and slightly cloudy, with a large head. Aroma is pine with a hint of citrus. Good body, with fruit flavours to the fore, without being particularly strong tasting. Pleasant, would make a good summer session beer, but not exciting

Bottle 330ml. [ As Loch Lomond Whisky Ale 2nd ed ].[ Courtesy of Theydon_Bois ]. Unclear medium orange amber color with a average, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, whisky, riped fruit, dried fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, whisky, riped druit, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140415]

Golden beer with a light, tangy citrus aroma. Flavour is grapefruit and a light biscuit taste to bring a touch of balance. Unfortunately there’s not much depth to the flavour. It’s nice and it’s got a pleasant dry finish but it’s not especially memorable.
