Description
We are Pomona Island. We have a passion for innovation and style. We wake up each morning and strive each day to create te finest beers on the... Nah, can you imagine if we actually spoke like that? We're just beer snobs and over-appreciators who thought we would put our (small amount of) money where our (big) mouths are.
The Brewery is Nick and Ryan, who started the Gas Lamp bar in Manchester CIty Centre (where you can always find our beers!), Gaz from Marble Brewery and James from Tempest Brewery.
The beer is all stuff we like to drink. Loads of sessionable new world hoppy pales, more traditional stouts and porters. Big Juicy IPAs, and some fun experimental stuff to keep us and you interested.

Prachtige schuimkraag. Ruikt grotendeels naar roosterig pepernoten en kruidkoek. Smaakt naar chocoladepepernoten.

Cask at the farmers boy St Albans. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a sticky off white head. Aroma is soft wheat, perfume citrus, petal, grass. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded wheat perfume, light spicy. Ok. Palate is semi sweet, grainy, rounded, decent cask condition.

Half-pint, keg at Piccadilly Tap, shared with Finn. A beige head, upper part lacing, coal black body. Slightly roasted malts on the nose, caramel hints. Blended taste profile of nuts, caramel and sweet chocolate. Fine roasted finish. Fine bodied. Pretty good. (Manchester 22.01.2020).

Draught Very good, dense yellow head over fully muddy yellow-ochre beer. C-hops and diary; cheesy hops. Once tasted, I get Bergamot in the nose as well. Early Grey tea with orange, cilandro, lime (and of course, C-hops). Diary returns as (soft) cheese here, maybe a bit as sweetish ricotta. Alcohol is perceptible, very chewy/oily. Good carbonation. Better than average. Still, it's again one that makes me suspect the NE moniker is an excuse... if you catch my drift.

Can split at L6 tasting, thanks to Dave, 09/10/19. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is grass, spruce, herb, orange pith, melon. Taste comprises floral notes, lime leaf, spruce, bitter orange shreds, straw, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close kissed with a tickle of sorachi hop. Decent.

440ml can @Chez Sophie. Solid bit of haze kit here, unclear golden orange, white froth, plenty of luscious exotics, of which come to fruition on the palate, pokey grapefruit, leafy pine, soft resin, mango.. Some sherbet hints coming into play as the carbonation starts to wind down but on the whole I'm likin this.

Keg @ Gas Lamp, Manchester. Clouded yellow-bonde with a mid and manageable sourness, with its strength not too obvious.

Found at Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Clouded gold, steady but understated hopped fruitiness, and not feelings its strength for it.
