Third by hand-pulled cask at GBBF Winter, Jewellers Bar. Shared with Finn. Bubbly beige head to a deep mahogany coloured body, spotty lacing. Promising brittle caramel aromas, lightly spiced. Dark caramel flavours, some spices to it, and a coffee bite towards a mild roasted finish. Medium bodied. Pleasing. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

Bottle from Aldi. It pours opaque black with a foamy off-white head. The aroma is toasty, earthy roast, umami, liquorice, plain chocolate, touch of coffee and dull ash. The taste is dry, burnt toast, dark roast, ashy, plenty of umami, liquorice, coffee grounds cacao nibs, walnut and earth with a drying, toasty finish. Lighter end of medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. A bit earthy / burnt, but OK overall.
