On cask at Au Bar. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Light haze. Nose - lemon and light make at the back. Taste - lemon and pith. Malt comes through again. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - pretty much nails the style. Nice end to the night.

[ As Scottish Borders Dark Horse ].Clear medium brown - red amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, bread, caramel, dark malt, light to moderate hoppy, licorice notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, caramel, licorice hops, fruity, dark malt. Cask at GBBF ’16, day two, 10/08/16. Golden copper with a decent off white head. Nose is biscuit, orange peel, straw, bread dough. Taste comprises light floral notes, biscuit malt, bitter orange, caramel, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough bitter.

On cask at Milnes Bar Edinburgh - clear russet body small off white head. Nose is spicy taste very similar. Nothing to set the pulses racing but nice enough.
