Bottle 33 cl. Pours dark brown with an orange hue and a creamy, beige head. Lovely nutty toast aroma. Medium body, again nuts and subtle roast with a dry finish. A perfectly well executed Porter - especially compared to the sugar bombs the Germans also make in this style. 160518

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque grayish yellow with no real head. Yeasty, spicy nose - some coriander it seems. Medium body, sweet fruitiness, again quite yeasty, some cloves. A hint of late hops. Quite decent for the style - although a confusing name. 160518

Bernsteinfarben mit weißer Schaumkrone. Fruchtiger, malziger, hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich leicht malzig, fruchtig mit Bergamotte, hopfig, leicht würzig. Leichte Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

21/4/2018. Bottle from BeerLovers, Vienna. Pours reddish amber brown with an off-white to beige head. Aroma of toffee, sour fruits, white wine vinegar, a little yeast and hint of chocolate. Very light sweetness, heavy sourness, touch salty. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. This is a style I do like and whilst this is not best in class, still enjoyed it.

Slightly funky and sour, but too mellow to be true to style. Could have been bolder, bigger.

0,1l sample courtesy of Powy, big thanks. golden clear shiny color, small white head. smells heavy of tobacco, peppery, spices, citric, bit grassy. nice smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes grassy, herbal, light grapes, bit citric, bit flowery, lightly doughy, hints of sweetness. finishes rather dry but also bitter / sweet with notes of grapes, citrus and some herbal notes. rather nice one, quite good to drink, nice complexity.
