Nice effervescent pour, with a well-sustained, substantial head - fairly sweat aroma, with a lot of clove behind it, a little bit of spiciness/pepper, and faint yeastiness - not as sweet as the aroma suggest (at least up front), with a lot of dry clove, sage, floral notes - a bit spicy, which is a nice variation in a rather straightforward style - gets a little sweet near the end, and the wheat and yeasty notes one would expect come to the fore - overall, a very nice change of pace - this is a hefe I will reach for again.

Bottle:Reddish-amber coloured, slowly diminishing off-white lacy head; solid caramelly nose with a touch of toasted malt; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; moderate, as well, sweet-biiter and toasty finish with a bitter-metallic tail. Not bad, but a bit disappointing in the end......
