(bottle) Clear, bright golden to copper colour with a medium-sized and off-white foamy head. Bready malty aroma with hints of caramel and a whiff of candied, slightly honeyed fruits. Moderately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Malt-accented base with caramel, bready notes, toasted cereal, as well as a subtle fruity touch; Sweet malty and delicately hop bitter finish with bready cara-malt and a whiff of metal. (bottle) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized and minimally off-white foamy head. Fruit-accented aroma of ripe banana with moderately wheatty and phenolic accents like cloves and vanilla. Mildly sweet and slightly sour-tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly mineralic and moderately wheat-malty taste with present notes of banana, hints of cloves and traces of hoppy spice; slightly citrus-fruity and sour-tart towards the mineralic and slightly phenolic finish. Fläschla: Golden to deep golden,, almost clear, medium-sized, lasting, beaten-egg-white-like white-head; moderate sweetish-sourish lemony-wheaty nose with a delicate yeasty background; moderate sourish-sweetish flavour,, pretty light bodied and a bit tart; lingering sourish lemony finish with - first - wheat - and - later - yeast in the dryish aftertaste.Not a great, but a refreshing one...

"Roppelt Gold Pils", Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin-Wedding. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase Gerste und herb-süßer Honig. - Antrunk weich gerstenmalzig mit zarter Honigsüße und zitrusfruchtiger Hopfenherbe mit aromatischer Orangenschale. Zart malzsüß mit fein abgeschmeckter Säure. Gut rezent, nicht so schlank wie Pilsener Biere sonst sind. Im Abgang nicht zu kräftige aber sehr aromatische, grasige Hopfenherbe. - Untypisches aber sehr schmackhaftes Pilsener mit ganz eigenem Charakter aus Gerste, Honig und Orangenschale. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Beim Roppelt in Trossenfurt wird vom Faß nur eine Sorte ausgeschenkt, wer also einfach ein Bier bestellt, bekommt das Lager. - Schönes helles Goldorange, trüb, ansehnlicher Schaum. - In der Nase milder orangenfruchtiger Hopfen. - Antrunk schön rund keksmalzig mit leichter Karamelnote und kernig orangenfruchtigem fränkischen Hopfen. Sehr weich, zarte Honignote, perfekt abgestimmte zarte fruchtige Säure. Perlend rezent, sahnig weich, enorm rund aber erfrischend - man schmeckt: dieses Bier ist genügend abgelagert. Im Abgang nicht zu kräftige aber sehr aromatische, leicht harzige Hopfenherbe. - Ausgezeichnetes, gut gehopftes und dabei weiches und rundes Frankenlager.

Bottle @ the Brewery in Trossenfurt. Hazy yellow goldish with a large white head. Aroma has yeast and mild banana notes. Flavor was dry with banana, citric and yeast notes. Not that bananish as this style often is.

On tap @ the brewery in Trossenfurt. Cloudy golden with a medium white head. Aroma had pale malt, aroma had floral hops in good condition. Flavor had floral hops, fresh malt and a solid body for the style. Finished dry and bitter.

Enjoyed at the brewery. Clear amber with medium off white head. Aroma had toasted malt, caramel and toffee. Flavor had toasted malt, caramel, toffee and floral hops. Dry in the end and bitter. Perfect example for the style.
