Tap at Red Nose KE. Aroma pilsenery. Clear golden. Taste is very nicely balanced. Strong maltiness with promiment caramel malt. At the same time decent hoppiness. Finish is mostly hoppy and bitter. Good one.

Bottle from Tuzex, Berlin. - Starts extremely sweet, some timid notes of coffee and roasted malt are steamrolled by the heavy sweetness. Tastes like a black beer with a handful of sugar added. Indeed, the back label lists among the ingredients (in extremely fine print and nearly illegible) "sugar, hops (which become "Hopfenextrakt und Hopfenisoextract" in the German version), caramel, ascorbic acid, saccharin". In one word: crap.

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark amber body under a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma is too fruity I think, with caramel notes and cookedvegetables. The flavor is pretty much the same, with a little bitterness. Rather dry on the palate, medium bodied, and with a pleasant level of carbonation. Dry, bitter finish. Nothing impressive going on here. 130329

Bottle. Pours clear golden with ample airy white head. Faint aroma of malt and hops. Bitter hoppy flavour with a sweetish malty note. Rather watery but not bad as such. Dry aftertaste.

50 cl bottle @ sauna. Rated on 11.11.2009
Aroma has grassy hops, some grainy malt and butter. Flavour is slightly sweet with grassy hops, some grain, toffee and butter. The hops are nice and there is not too much butter – but then again this feels a bit straightforward.
