Description
Welcome to the Hackney Church Brew Co. We are a new brewpub based in the heart of Hackney, named after the parish church over the road. Like the church, we want to create a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy that gives back to the local community.

We serve our own tasty beers alongside delicious food in our taproom and sunny garden. In our book, that’s beer for all sorts.

Keg at the brewery. Pours mostly clear deep ruby-orange wth a lasting, creamy off-white head. Massive dank snout, very West Coast. Light to medium sweet flavourbwith a fair dose of flinty dryness, oily pine, melon, orange peel. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Pretty well balanced in the finish, some resinous pine, mellow drying minerality, grass, citrus fruits. Good stuff.

St John's. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, decent pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Smooth but slightly thin malts, mild to medium sweet. Light tangerine hops. Mild pine, trace of lemon. Modest bitterness on the light finish. Tasty enough but inevitably thin.
