Description
Welcome to the Hackney Church Brew Co. We are a new brewpub based in the heart of Hackney, named after the parish church over the road. Like the church, we want to create a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy that gives back to the local community.

We serve our own tasty beers alongside delicious food in our taproom and sunny garden. In our book, that’s beer for all sorts.

St John's. Keg. Hazy yellowish gold beer, small white head. Smooth and semi dry palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, sweetish and with a nice bready Czech vibe. Floral mid blends smoothly with a light citrus on the back end. Light semi dry finish. Excellent clean lager and very accomplished. Could drink a boatload of this.

Soft hop skunk with a piney surround. Slightly tangy citrus, a bare whisper of something tropical. Light semi dry finish. Tidy ISL.

Keg at the source. A translucent golden coloured pour with a lasting rocky white head. Aroma is decent soft fruit, white grape, peach, rubber, wheat, orange rind, grass. Flavour is composed of wheat, grassy hop, stale white bread, white grape.. Palate is soft doughy, moderate carbonation.. Spicy grassy hop lingers.

From backlog. Draught @ St John's Hackney, London. Sweetish, grainy and earthy with some stuffy notes, grass and hay. Decent, a bit unclean.
