Description
Welcome to the Hackney Church Brew Co. We are a new brewpub based in the heart of Hackney, named after the parish church over the road. Like the church, we want to create a welcoming space that everyone can enjoy that gives back to the local community.

We serve our own tasty beers alongside delicious food in our taproom and sunny garden. In our book, that’s beer for all sorts.

Good stout, moderate ashy roast, earth, burnt rubber, a little cocoa, old raisins. Nicely balanced. Highly drinkable.

Really solid overall. Nice resinous pine but fairly restrained, a little toasted grain, rich malt, suggestions of caramel and earthy hops. Well rounded, balanced, looks great. Sound.

Keg at Creative Juices taproom, Maple Cross, Herts. A murky dark brown coloured pour with a decent off white/beige head on top. Vaguely roasty, chocolate, wheaty. Not what I would call an IPA, more of a muddy mess!

From tap at the brewpub with Terje 10.04.25. Cloudy mahogany amber. Off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of medium roasted malt, dark caramel, tawny marmalade and bark. A bit of hop bitterness is lingering on. Overall quite malty.
