Thanks! Small bottle sampled @ Samson en Geert bierproeverij. Dark brown, little head. Nose is thin, soy sauce, mocha, umami, chocolate, ashes. Taste is thin ashes, cigarettes, soy sauce, ashes, bitter burned plastic, thin soy sauce. I don’t get the hype here, thin, ashtray, weak.

Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 12.04.18. Almost ebony. Smalle pale brown head. Excellent aroma and taste of tar, creosote, coffee, dark chocolate and bitter pine. Medium bitterness is lingering on.

0,5 flaske med voksforseglet kork i elegant eske, delt på RBHD-treff ombord på Fridtjofen, april-18: Brunsvart med kort storboblet skum. Lekker duft av luksuskaffe, dessertsjokolader, vanilje, svisker, sviskeplommer, rosiner, diskrete røyktoner. Den komplekse smaken inneholder også alt dette, i en elegant kombinasjon. Alkoholen varmer behagelig. Mild bitterhet og alt for lettdrikkelig, denne kan være avhengighetsskapende. Produsert mai 2015 (iflg esken)?

Shared 500 ml bottle at local tasting. Black colour. Aroma of roast malts and molasses, hints of oak. Sweet flavour, roast malts and oak, with a drier and dusty finish. Hints of smoke. Moderate hops.

Tap. Dark brown color. Aroma: bread, caramel, a little cherry. Taste like a normal Baltic porter with the addition of cherry jam.

Bottle, 1.0%. Good grassy hop aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Good stable frothy white head. The flavour starts off quite bitter and somewhat bready. Has a mild hop bite in the finish. Does not taste metallic, but sort of has a metallic mouthfeel if that makes sense. Rough bitterness in the finish. 5 3 5 3 13
