Description
In the beginning of 2014 a small adventure begun, a brand new microbrewery called ELIXI was born in the area of Chalkida. A microbrewery focused on the production of craft beer products characterized by the absence of pasteurization and filtration as well as with the use of the traditional way of fermentation inside the bottle.

A family business whose members come from completely different business backgrounds and experiences which can be shown in the diversity of the labels and brands produced.

Since the first moments of its operation has invested in the establishment of a new state of the art brewery in the area of Drosia in Chalkida. The selection of the location was based on the excellent quality of the local water as well as its geographical position near the main motorway of the country.

The premises cover an area of 1000m2 and house cutting edge equipment for the production, bottling and storage of products.

330ml bottle at the Barley Cargo, Athens. Hazy golden orange color with white head. Malty grainy, hoppy grassy and citrusy aroma. Sweet and light bitter, like the aroma, malty and hoppy, citrusy fruity. Medium almost oily body with soft to average carbonation.

Hell malziger, etwas hopfiger Antrunk. Wenig fruchtig, die dumpfe Hopfigkeit steigt. Minimaler Alkohol, hell bleibend, vollmundig, wenig süffig. 11/10/8/11/12/11

Bottle bought in Athens in June 2014. Hazy golden with a huge head. Aroma and taste of grass, some citrus and light hops. Also some cake batter. Easy to drink and fairly refreshing.

37.5cl Bottle on Syros. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of lots of hops, hay, citrus, soap, flowers. Flavour is light-sweet, honey, hay, citrus, hint of soap, oranges, crisp malts, firm zesty bitter finish. Light-bodied. What a find. Great beer.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Leighton. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Airy palate, light fine carbonation. Little dry malt cream. Light dry cream, Light floralness. Touch of sweetish fruits. Light finish. Somehow it comes together in to a pleasant beer.

Bottle split at Bruce’s Pad, thanks to Leighton, 24/06/14. Lightly hazed golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malts, earthy hop notes, spice, bitter orange, citric peel. Taste comprises orchard fruit, bitter orange, marzipan, light spice, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonaion, semi drying close, light grassy bitter vibes. So so.

Bottle shared in London - picked up in Athens, Greece. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. Pale malts in the nose, some citrus notes. Light sweet flavor, more citrus, pale bread. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, some bitter hay, pale bread, honey. Fine.

Bottle at 33 Adrianu - Athens. Pours lightly hazy yellow-gold with a lasting, frothy white head. Light pale bread on the nose, some lemon meringue, cereals. Light sweet flavor with faint lemon rind bitterness, crispy cereal, staw. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Pretty crisp on the finish, some further crisp cereal, biscuits, hay and lemon rind. Pretty decent, refreshing.
