Description
In the beginning of 2014 a small adventure begun, a brand new microbrewery called ELIXI was born in the area of Chalkida. A microbrewery focused on the production of craft beer products characterized by the absence of pasteurization and filtration as well as with the use of the traditional way of fermentation inside the bottle.

A family business whose members come from completely different business backgrounds and experiences which can be shown in the diversity of the labels and brands produced.

Since the first moments of its operation has invested in the establishment of a new state of the art brewery in the area of Drosia in Chalkida. The selection of the location was based on the excellent quality of the local water as well as its geographical position near the main motorway of the country.

The premises cover an area of 1000m2 and house cutting edge equipment for the production, bottling and storage of products.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ The Stat Improver Tasting ] - Saxo, Højbjerg - Aarhus, Denmark. [ As Marea Blonde ].ABV: 4.5%. Clear light to medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, herbs, light moderate yeasty, belgium yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, herbs, pale malt, belgium yeast - witbier yeast. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170617] 5-3-4-3-8

Draught at The Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Almost clear, gold colored. AROMA- malt, grain, hay, straw. FLAVOR- neutral, lightly bitter, malty, lightly hoppy, hay. Light bodied.
Somewhat insipid.

330ml bottle bought at Siganos wine & spirits shop in Rethymno. Pearl white head, spotty lacing, cloudy orange coloured body. Aroma of mid-sweet fruits and dough. Dried fruity flavours joined by almond and a yeasty touch. Sweet fruity ending. Just alright, a bit too sweet. (Hotel room 11.06.2017).

Bottle at Højbjerg tasting. Pours pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, banana, hop, wheat, grass and hay. Moderate sweetness and bitterness, touch of sour. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, average carbonation.

Bottle from Maltby Street Market Bermondsey and drunk at home. 5% abv. Hazy gold amber colour lasting white head. Yeasty lemon aroma. It’s actually pretty good. Not sure what a good it is. Not sure it’s a pilsner. Hoppy and bitter I guess, some good lemon flavour. Yes I ended up quite liking it. Bit over carbonated. But it’s pretty much good fun.
