Herrlich trübe, hell orange Farbe. Geruchlich merke ich noch nix von Chilli - allerdings bin ich diesbezüglich nicht besonders empfindlich. Das Basisbier scheint ein wirklich sehr brauchbares und süffiges Zwickel zu sein. Getreidige, fruchtige und florale Noten fallen kurz auf. Aber dann kickt sofort die Schärfe rein und überdeckt fast alles. Stärker als erwartet, aber für Chilli-Aficionados locker auszuhalten. Von den verwendeten Habaneros merke man nur die Schärfe, von der typischen Fruchtigkeit und dem intensiven Aroma ist absolut nichts vorhanden. Das ganze schmeckt eher als hätte jemand bei Mama ins Gewürzregal gegriffen und dort das seit Jahren unbenutzte Cayennepfefferpulver oder die gemahlene rote Paprika hinzugefügt. Durchaus bei einmaligen Gebrauch nicht uninteressant und zumindest für aufgeschlossene Chillijunkies problemlos zu trinken. Trotzdem erinnert mich dieses Bier daran, dass das Bayerische Reinheitsgebot von 1516 gar keine so schlechte Sache ist. So blieben uns Ochsengalle, Tollkirsche, Stechapfel und andere Dinge die im Bier nichts zu suchen haben (bis jetzt) erspart. Aber wer weiß, was uns hier die Zukunft noch bringt...

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- malty, sweet, honey, touch of noble hops and alcohol. FLAVOR- sweet, lightly bitter, the same as aroma. Fuller bodied. Very good.

Bottle 0.5l from the brewery. Cloudy, deep gold colored. AROMA- fermented, malt, grain, noble hops, almonds, apricot, cannabis. FLAVOR- a bit sweet, slightly sour, slightly bitter, the same as aroma. Medium bodied. Good.

Bottle 0.5l from the brewpub. Clear, copper colored. AROMA- toasted malts, chocolate, nuts, floral and spicy hops. FLAVOR- smooth and creamy, slightly sweet, lightly bitter, toasted malts, hazelnuts, tones of chocolate, floral hops. Medium bodied. Very good.
