Can from Flavourly. Pours a dark mahogany brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas of hazelnut and chocolate. Taste has some dark fruit and toffee. Decent for the style, if maybe darker than expected.

Can from Flavourly. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light lemon, soap and biscuit. Taste is more of the same. Shame about the soapy note. Otherwise ok.

Can from Flavourly. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of whisky, wood, tar, leather, faint dark chocolate. Taste is quite strong on the barrel influence, the porter is a bit lost for me underneath all the wood and whisky notes. Some chocolate in there. Nice, if a bit boozy for the relatively low abv for the style.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep brown to black with orange/red chinks. Not much deeper than the Killanny red ale. Nose - smoke, liquorice and molasses but with still some caramel buried inside. Taste - caramel more prevalent, still roast, smoke and liquorice. Palate - medium bodied, roasty finish with a decent length. Overall - good, and on style.

Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deeper than expected. Dark brown to black with red chinks. Attractive, beige head. Nose - light molasses and honeycomb. Brown bread and dried fruit. Taste - light smoke, molasses and chewy toffee. Subtle raisins and honeycomb this time. Palate - medium bodied plus with a roasty finish. Overall - not on style, might have put this as a Mild to be honest. However, very enjoyable.

Can from beerclub. Chocolate black with a thin tan head. Aroma of wood malt. Flavour is boozy fruit, wood and whiskey warm. Chocolate wood finish, dry finish.

IPA by this Irish craft brewery, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Thin and open, loose, off-white, dissolving head on a misty apricot blonde beer. Aroma weirdly very herbal, bergamot, Earl Grey tea, dried orange peel, dried lemon thyme, bread crust, hint of chlorine. Cleanly fruity onset, some green kiwi and unripe melon, soft fizz, slick oily mouthfeel; cracker- and cereal-like malt core, thinnish, under this utterly herbal hop character, very tea-ish and leafy, also hinting at dried citrus peel and lemon thyme again, adding mild but sufficient end bitterness too. Weird, apart from actual tea-flavoured IPAs this is by far the most herbal IPA I ever came across; quite distinct in that sense, but it took me a while to get used to it, I must admit...

Classically designed oatmeal stout from the country where stout was invented, thanks Craftmember for sharing. Pale greyish white, moussy, medium thick, opening head, very dark chocolate brown robe - near black, but with a deep mahogany hue still discernible. Aroma of chestnuts, dried dates, Ersatz chocolate ('Koetjesreep'), brown bread, muesli, ground hazelnuts, touch liquorice. Sweetish, clean onset, dried dates and raisins, medium carb, smooth and oily body; pecan-nutty, only slightly chocolatey, hard-caramelly malt creaminess, quickly shifting to a toasted bitterness filling the second half of the flavour 'parcours' with a roasted chicory- and burnt bread-like bitterness, supported by a leafy hop character. The creaminess associated with oatmeal is certainly there from beginning to end - making for a very rounded feel without taking it too far. Very old school, and all the more pleasant for that reason, in my opinion.
