(swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Bready, slightly buttery and nutty (cara-)malty aroma with notes of herbal hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Delicately bready and slightly chalky malty taste with herbal hoppy spice; a tad slim bitter-sweet buttery malty and herbal hoppy finish. Likeable Franconian Bock. 20.II.14

Bügelverschlußflasche(very kindly donated by Erlangernick!!!): Golden to deep golden with a greenish sheen, visible carbonation and a slowly collapsing white head with a little lace; honeyish-grainy nose with a mild grainy-hoppy background, a touch of vanilla included; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; slightly lingering dryish strawy-hoppy finish with a grainy-bisquity touch in the aftertaste. Not a superb, but still a good franconian brew…

(At the Keller, in a Krug) Lasting white head. Malty and herbal aroma with grassy notes, and a hint of fruit. Sweetish malty flavour. Well hopped and a good, refreshing finish

On tap at Roppelts Keller, Stiebarlimach. Apparently this is Rittmayer Weizen, but hey. Excellent. I love the glass, I love how this brewery is in a tiny village and produces 2 brilliant beers. Aroma of peach and banana but a creamy tropical banana almost as intense as dried banana. Mouthfeel in perfect. Full but it’s still light and agile. Finish is even better. A mix of malt, hops and tropical fruit with banana. I doubt I’ve had a better weisse. I’ve had 2 mouthfuls and I love it already. Carbonation is perfect, it’s there to add crispness, but not too gassy. It has a sparkle in the background I’ve never had before and it’s hoppy too. I actually think I’m in love, if this was a woman, I’d marry her. Touch of coconut, mango. The sherbert hop finish is simply delightful. So clean and yet so intense, yet light, tropical, fruity, it’s like nothing I’ve ever had.

At the Roppelt Keller 16 July 2012. Deep gold with a big, off-white head. Very easy drinking beer, with sweet caramel, some summer fruits and a touch of hop in the gentle finish. Excellent

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, golden colour with a blond and thick foamy head. Yeasty and moderately wheaty aroma with strong notes of banana and a tinge of apricot. Mildly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a creamy carbonation. Present wheat-character with primary notes of banana; a bit slim and mildly sweet and bana-fruity finish. A clean and decent Hefeweizen. 11.VIII.12

I guess this is another example of a german beer which should be quaffed from tap only. Draught @ Roppelt’s Keller, Stiebarlimbach. Ceramic mug. Grass and buiscuit in both nose and flavor. Crisp, clean and hoppy. Dry and smooth with a woody touch. Had 2 Mass . . Could have executed more. Boom! Re-rate July -13. Had 3 Mass. This is As good As franconian beer gets. Soft, hoppy, Grassy, Woody and malty. Very clean and hardly Any yeast. I love This! Will go back for This every summer for the rest of my life. Ps. Bottles dont count - This should be swallowed from tap! 4.0 - 4-4.

Frisch herber Antrunk, dadurch wird die Herbe stärker, hopfige Elemente können eingebunden werden. Wenig bitter, angenehm süffig trotz der prägnanten Bitterkeit. 7/11/12/12//12
