Clear dark brown to black beer, creamy dense beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: oh boy, lots and lots of diacetyl, way too much, this is not good, also some caramel, mocha, butter scotch, meh. MF: soft to no carbon, medium body. Taste: good roast, some alcohol, gentle bitterness, some gingerbread notes, alcohol is not very noticeable, some dark chocolate, a soft acidity, earthy. Aftertaste: rather watery and thin, some alcohol coming through now, good roast on top of some butter scotch thanks to the diacetyl, caramel notes, a little sweet.

Clear orange to light amber beer, creamy light beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: hint of diacetyl, malty, grains, some caramel, a bit fruity, almonds, some bubble gum, strawberry jam, sweet impression. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: soft acidity, a bit sweet, a hint of yoghurt, some grains, hay, cow fodder, a bit watery. Aftertaste: ok bitterness, soft acidity, some unripe peaches and apricots, a hint of caramel, some ripe to overripe banana.

Clear gold blond beer, dense creamy off-white to yellowish head, very stable, a little adhesive. Aroma: pretty malty up front, grains, hay, cow fodder, surprisingly no Westmalle yeast (banana) detectable. I was expecting more of a stereotype Belgian triple here. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: a little bitter, malty, a bit fruity, grains, some apples. Aftertaste: malty, grains, hay, soft acidity, some pears, gentle bitterness, spicy, coriander maybe?

Clear gold yellow beer, creamy dense off-white head, pretty stable, very adhesive. Aroma: very floral, sweet, ripe fruits, peaches, pears, some summer melon, more floral notes. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: gentle bitterness, pretty sweet, a hint of honey, malty, more sweet caramel malts, a little grassy. Aftertaste: some gentle acidity, grassy hops, grains, malty, hay, some cow fodder, good dry and bitter finish.

Pretty clear pale blond to light whitish yellow beer, big aery creamy head, unstable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: first, lots of coriander up front, then after a few minutes of warming up, more subtle notes of banana, cloves and quite some bubble gum start coming through, along with some rather pronounced bread yeast smell. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bitter start, very yeasty, banana, cloves, slightly acidic, a bit fruity, some citrus notes. Aftertaste: a bit acidic, yeasty, gentle bitterness, a bit malty, grains, hay, yeasty, lots of banana, nice hybrid between a Belgian Wit and a Hefeweizen if you ask me. Hard to name the style…

Tasted this one twice. The first pour was clearly infected, and pretty bad. I told the owner this, and he agreed, and switched kegs. Second keg was better, but also showed some signs of infection. Putting up the scores of the second try, but wrote down the original below as well.
First try:
Ap: 4, Ar: 4, T: 3, Txt: 4, O: 3.5, Total: 3.6
Clear dark purple to brown beer, small creamy light beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: ooh, smells infected, sourish, weird, like cola, red berries, a gentle roast, a hint of vinegar, some balsamic. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sourish, red currants, weird, not very roasted, lots of lactic acid, nope, something’s very wrong here. Aftertaste: more acidity, red fruits, sourish, tastes like a Flemish sour, not like a stout, very sour, mainly lactic acid.
Second Try:
Clear purplish to brown beer, creamy dense beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of laurel, herbal, again some soft acidity in the beer, a touch of vinegar, lactic acid, gentle roast, some diacetyl. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: again pretty sourish, but not as much as the first time, a soft roast, some gingerbread, red forest fruits, blackberries, cherries, some bubble gum. Aftertaste: a bit sweet, some diacetyl, gentle roast, cherries, a bit sourish, no vinegar anymore, more red forest fruits, blackberries and cherries, ok but not great.

Clear amber orange beer, creamy beige head, stable, a bit adhesive, ok. Aroma: pretty oxidized, malty, some caramel, lots of grains, hay, cow fodder, some ripe to overripe banana, yeasty, some banana peel. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: gentle bitterness, lots of sweet caramel malts, gentle bitterness, sugary, some ripe banana, sugary and sweet. Aftertaste: still a gentle bitterness lingering in the back over some sweet malts, floral notes, a little soapy maybe, spicy touch, laurel and rosemary, ok but not really that good.

Clear gold blond beer, dense creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty fruity, quite some peaches and apricots, malty backbone, a little floral, grains. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very spicy, coriander, some celery, pretty bitter, grassy, hoppy, not very fresh, some sweet malty notes, probably 6 to 12 months old? Aftertaste: floral, pretty soapy bitterness, a little chemical touch, very dry, herbal finish, more spices, a hint of coriander, some rosemary and thyme.

Clear gold blond beer, small creamy off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very malty, a bit oxidized, fruity touch, malty, some honey on warming up, lots and lots of honey, diacetyl. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet, malty, honey, soft acidity, gentle bitterness, caramel. Aftertaste: more malty, sweet, caramel, some pears, a bit watery, some honey, more oxidation, a bitter touch, ok, but a little boring.
