Bottle 50 cl. Pours a beautiful clear, dark brown with a ruby hue and a lacing, beige head. Discreetly malty nose. Light body, but not thin. Notes of molasses and toffee, somewhat sweet but not overly so. Hardly any bitterness, slight soy note. Main issue is a strong metallic tang, but it kinda fades as your palate gets accustomed to it. Almost Malzbier territory. 200724

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with a lacing, off-white head. Caramelly nose with discreet notes of balcony smoke. Solid malty body. Again caramelly and biscuity malts, soft on the palate, soft carbonation. The smokiness is even fainter. Very subdued bitterness. But easy drinking due to the very discreet degree of smoke. 210624

500 ml bottle, as Helles Vollbier. Almost clear golden with a small foamy head. Grain, malt, hay, bread, metal, citrus. Dry bitterness, malty bready sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively to soft carbonated, dry grainy citrusy bittersweet finish. Good Helles!

500ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mildly smoky and sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, hints of beech wood ashes, a touch of smoked eel, dark caramel. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty and mildly smoky, woody, hints of caramel, a touch of bark, beech wood ashes, bitter hoppy counterpart. Oily-watery texture, rather dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Mild smokiness, a tad heterogeneous and disharmonious, a tad overcarbonated as well - just a mediocre Rauchbier.

Tap at Beer Geek. Rather thin body, med-light carbonation. Med-light sweetness, medium bitterness, a bit metallic. Moderate caramelly sugary character is the bulk of flavour here. A hint of roast. Good, but simple.
