Tap at the hotel. Crystal clear, with slow bubbles and a tall, fine head. Lemony hop nose, crisp saltine crackers. Classic Helles. Flavors of lemon, bread, grass, a touch of honey. Crisp, light, and very drinkable. Smooth stuff.

Tap at the Hotel. Deep orange. Very cloudy and effervescent, with a tall, pillowy head. Lovely. Huge, classic nose, banana, clove, orange, a touch of smoke maybe? Bit of caramel, melon, fresh-baked doughy bread. Sweet flavor, caramel, banana, clove. A bit cloying, though tart melon and orange in the finish help to balance. Crisp, prickly carbonation works with the heavy body. Good, but a bit too sweet.

Tap at the Hotel. Brilliant golden color with lots of slow bubbles and a tall, fine head. Lemon and herb nose, crackery malt, clean, grass. Crisp and clean flavor, malts are lightly toasty and crusty; nice hops. Lemon, grass. Crisp and light with medium bitterness and a prickly, peppery finish.

Tap at the Hotel. Rich malt aroma, toast, caramel, oranges. Orange-brown color with slow, small bubbles and a fine, pillowy head. Soft, chewy malt, cookie dough, chocolate, ornage and a bit of minerals. Light, silky with soft fizz. Subtle and flavordul. Light, prickly hops. Not as hoppy or complex as the best, but good.

Vom Faß im Hotel Wilde Rose, Bamberg. - Tief goldbraun (soweit im Steinkrug erkennbar), leicht trüb. - In der Nase angenehm frisch-fruchtiger Hopfen. - Antrunk frisch mit leicht süßlich-fruchtigem Hopfen, dessen herbe Süße oder süße Herbe an Mandarinen erinnert. Mild rezent, vollmundig. Abgang orangenfruchtig-hopfenherb mit schwach harziger Bittere. Ausreichend herber Nachtrunk. - Eigenwillig herb-süßes gehopftes Kellerbier, nicht völlig überzeugend.

Bamberg jolly day 2 25/01/2014. On tap at the Brewpub in Bamberg. Burnt orange coloured pour with a big lasting white head. Aroma is orange, clove, toasted bready malts, semi-sweet. Flavour is composed of spicy clove, light banana yeast profile, wheat. Some chalk on the tongue.
