Flasche (1 l) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Schönes Kupferrot, schwach trüb. - In der Nase ausgezeichneter, frischer, herb-fruchtiger fränkischer Hopfen, etwas Orangenschale, Brotkruste, ein wenig Fenchel. - Antrunk mild karamelmalzig mit Brotkruste und zunächst nur mild hopfenwürzig, bevor die volle Wucht des Aromahopfens zuschlägt: Orangenschale, Fenchel, ein wenig Erde. Mild rezent, weich im Mund, schlank und doch füllig. Im Abgang beträchtliche krautig-hopfenwürzig-fruchtige Hopfenherbe und ein wenig Minze. Langer bitterer Nachtrunk. - Erstklassiges fränkisches Lager, eins der besten, die ich kenne. Neuverkostung: vom Faß beim Reichert in Uetzing. - Noch reicher und süffiger als aus der Flasche. Großartig! (Ursprüngliche Bewertung: 3,8.)

At the source in Uetzing in Franconia-Germany. Pours a bit lighter than the regular lager (?), properly orange skin color kind of semi-filtered appearance, very vivid. Frothy off-white foamy head. Nose: balanced woody notes with caramel and butter cookies dominating the scene. Some melon too. Mouth: frizzier than the lager sister, alcohol character, fat too sugary (for me), molasses. Meant to warm you up at winter time!

At the source in Uetzing, fantastic location in Franconia-Germany. Pours a proper amber bright color, some hazy appearance with a medium and long lasting ivory foam. Nose: malty almost caramel notes, floral overall aroma, bread. Mouth: extremely balanced and fairly fresh, soft carbonation and a mild roasted malts character make it easy to drink. Bread crust, nuts, yeast. Fantastic and different lager!

[ As Uetzinger Metzgerbräu Lager ].Unclear medium brown amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, straw, nutty, caramel, dark malt notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, grass, caramel, dark malt - roasted notes, bread notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140512]

[ As Uetzinger Metzgerbräu Maibock ].Unclear medium orange color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, moderate to light heavy hoppy, grass, orange - citrus, fruity. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, orange, sweet malt, hoppy bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20140512]

Leicht alkoholischer Geruch. Dabei leicht rauchig. Der Antrunk ist brotig-süßlich. Im Hauptteil wird das Bier etwas süßlich-brotiger, mild. Auf der Zunge bleibt eine brotig-süßliche Note, leicht rauchig. 9/10/8/9

Malziger Geruch, schöne Bernsteinfarbe im Glas. Der Antrunk ist schön malzig-süßlich, sehr würzig. Im Hauptteil süßlich-malzig, recht herb mit wässrigem Unterton. Der Nachgeschmack ist malzig-lang anhaltend und herb-muffig, dabei leicht röstmalzig. 12/11/10/10

1000ml Flasche. Ins Glas ergießt sich ein trübes goldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht hefig, leicht fruchtig, minimal würzig. Geschmack sehr schal, würzig, leicht hefig, minimal fruchtig. Es fehlt eindeutlich Kohlensäure.
