Description
Great Beer Above All Else

Surly: The frustration we felt when we couldn't find a good beer, much less a great one, in Minnesota. So we made some.

Great beer is all that really matters. Well, that and pushing your limits a bit, looking out for your people, taking pride in where you’re from, and having as much damn fun as you can while doing it.

Can at Chris_o Shindig. Amber, ashtray sour and grapefruity hop aroma. That’s got a lot of grapefruit in it. Toffee. Good grapefruit and one of the best canned beers I’ve ever had.

Can at Chris_o Shindig. Very deep brown/red with beige head. Terrific malts. Really deep, rounded. Tastes stronger. Oxidised port aroma. Good beer, pretty intense. Good hop on end and nice choc.

Can at Chris_o Shindig. Gold, lasting beige head. Nice peachy fruit. Very distinctive hit of hop. Very strong flavours, good biting hop on end. Tasty. Dry, hoppy. Harsh. A bit like De Ranke XX Bitter.

Thanks to brentfeesh for sharing this at Noogfest. Clear gold color with a frothy white head. Funky Belgian aroma that brings in a big malt presence and some fruitiness. The flavor is spicy and floral with a dry finish. Smooth, medium bodied.

Can from Footbalm - Thanks! Pours a dark brown with a modest tan head. Light lacing. My first impression is the aroma of wheat bread with some nuts, as well as a little maltiness. Tastes of a brown ale with solid malt, toffee, roasted nuts, and some bittersweet cocoa. Nice creamy feel.

Can! Pours a hazy mango color with a small white head and thick sheets of lacing. The aroma is strong of spices, mostly cloves, with an herbal and floral theme. Flaovr is lemon citrus with spices, citrus hops, and some florals. Very crisp, yet smooth. Very good. Thanks Footbalm.

Can. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of berries. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of metal, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks to yespr for bringing this to Denmark.
