Bottle at Red Hot. Dark golden, fine pearls, golden lace. Perfumed, grassy, minerally/earthy notes. Medium full, well balanced sparkly, easy on the palate. Broad hop profile, earthy, minerally, pine, citrus peel, not too catty. Nice!

Not a big wheatie fan so there is that on the front end. With that said I am happy to try Fleur de Wheat at the local Little Woodrow’s. The approach is very nice, a pale dark yellow with a thinnish head that does lace well. I taste grain and a slight metallic hit at the end. A light finish, minimal bitterness. Brisk.

04.01.2017, 12 oz bottle (2013 vintage) @ home:
Nice light brown slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich and oxidized, dark malts, butterscotch, grass, sour coffee, lactose, vanilla, dark sugar, chocolate, caramel, minerals. Taste is slightly sour-ish mineraly, weeds, sour coffee, sour caramel, minerals, grass, dark malts, butterscotch, paper, yeast, cardboard, harsh vanilla, paint. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Hasn?t aged too good I guess...

Flaske 355ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket hjemme 7 Des 16. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget stabilt skum. Behersket lakrisaroma med innslag av sjokolade. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken lett lakris med hint av røstet malt. Tørr avslutning. Av de bedre.
