Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Tap at the Brewpub. Black with lace. Smoky nose, coffee, tobacco, chocolate. Fits the name. Sweet, smoky coffee flavor, cocoa and some berries. A bit light and oily. Good but a bit too sweet.

Tap at the Brewpub. Clear golden with lace. Big lemon nose, a bit danks, leafy, oranges and some passion fruit. Ridiculously fruity flavor, can’t believe it comes just from hops. Passion fruit, orange, melon; sweet. Body is a bit thin, oily.

Tap at the Brewpub. Deeply cloudy and thick pastel gold color with thick lace. Huge Nelson nose, honey and biscuits, melon, maybe a bit of diacetyl. Huge fop flavor. Very bitter, also very sweet and creamy. Too creamy and oily for me. Crazy and interesting.

Tap at the Brewpub. Cloudy, glowing, pale gold with lace. Grainy, lightly lemony nose, some funk, yeasty. Sweet flavor of lemon-orange, some lactic acid and brett. Ok, but not quite convincing.

Keg at cellarmaker, 28/01/16. Pitch black with a dirty tan head. Nose is chocolate, roast malt, vanilla, light spice. Taste comprises chocolate cake, toffee fudge, light spice, charr, trace of dark fruit. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, light warming booze in the close. Easy drinking impy but lacked depth for me ABV considered.

Keg at cellarmaker, 28/01/16. Golden orange topped with a moderate off White covering. Nose is light caramel, mango, citric peel, orange pith. Taste picks up the pace ... nice dank strokes, grapefruit, pine needle, orange pith, pissy citrics. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying peppered with juicy hop bitterness. Solid IPA.
