Description
Cellarmaker Brewing Company has been in the works for quite some time. Look for our beers to start making their way around better known beer bars and beer focused restaurants in San Francisco starting in September.

We have a tasting room in the same building as the brewery and will offer tasters, pints, and growlers. Some beers may be bottled further down the line but for now it's all draft. The only way you can take our beer away is in the form of a growler - which by the way, is a great way to drink beer!

Look for a focus of plenty of hoppy beers, belgian-style saisons, dark beers, and sour beers. We are huge fans of wine and bourbon barrel aged beers as well so it's only natural for us to have a barrel program. Think bourbon barrels loaded with big chewy imperial stouts, excessively hopped IPAs, fruited sour beers, and funky saisons. This is what we love. This is what we are all about. We hope you are too!

Please follow along for the ride as we build San Francisco's next great brewery.
Cheers!

Thanks David for sharing! Taster showing very slightly tinged vinous purple with half a finger of clean white foam.

The nose shows intense Brett and light oak.

The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately tart and bramble forward with black forest fruits. Light Brett throughout.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated April 17, 2023. Aroma is hop forward with a floral and slightly grassy hop note. Lighter notes of citrus, berries and stone fruit. Light bready grain notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a slightly cloudy, pale, yellow-gold color with a medium large, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium light bready grain notes and hints of crackers. Medium light bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Light floral hop notes with hints of citrus and stone fruit. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent pilsner. The hop notes in the aroma are nice and work well with the light malt character. Balanced bitterness and alcohol notes.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 15, 2023. Aroma is moderately hop forward with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit, berry and tropical citrus with lighter dank, oily resin notes. Medium light cracker malt notes and light alcohol note. Pours a clear, brilliant, gold color with a medium sized, thick, fluffy, white head that recedes slowly to the edges where it lingers. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light cracker malt notes. Moderately high bitterness and hints of alcohol. Flavor is fairly hop forward, more so than in the aroma, with lots of melon, passion fruit, berry, and tropical citrus notes. Lighter dank, oily resin notes and tropical citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice West Coast IPA. The hop aroma isn't super prevalent, but the hop flavor is bright and fruity with lingering dank, citrusy notes. Balance malt profile and alcohol notes.
