Sample at Stoup Brewing. Clear pale straw color with a thin white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Apples and spices in the nose. Light to medium body with a semi-sweet apple cider character, with a touch of spice and malt in the background. The finish is fruity with a sweet apple aftertaste. Average overall.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with white bubbles. Aroma is apple. Not getting much else. Near med body. Flavor starts apple, develops some tart astringency, and then it becomes apricot - not lush and ripe, but kind of the not ripe flavor. So it’s dry and tart. Ok.

Draft - Lots of sweet berry and a touch of cinnamon. Pinkish red with a small white pink head. Sweet berry, Apple and a sweet berry finish. Lots of berry.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a clear pale yellow with no head. Aroma is simple, with dry green apples - not much else. Flavour is simple as well, with medium sweet red and green apples. Not much complexity but it works for what it is. Decent.

On tap at Farmstrong, pours a clear reddish pink with a tiny head. Aroma brings out juicy cranberries along with some apples. Flavour is quite sweet, bringing out a wallop of cranberries that impart lots of their natural sweetness here. Nothing artificial, just nothing very complex. Very pleasant to drink.

Very slight golden with no head. Slightly sour apple, sweet melon, sugar, with a medium dry finish. Very nice. Sweet but dry enough to be refreshing.

Golden colour. Mellow apple aroma. On the palate, it has a strong tannic character and a bitter apple finish. The sweetness is not nearly what you get from other ice ciders, only moderate. It’s a bit juicy, and the tannins lend balance. The body is fairly thick, though. I like it as a dessert cider, though expectations of ice cider richness won’t be rewarded.

500 c&c as "Sparkling Perry" from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours perry color with some sparkles; white bubbles on top. Aroma is fairly ripe pear-making me thing of baked pear - maybe with cinnamon. Med body or so. Flavor is astringent. Sparkle weakened quickly, but it’s a bit sparkly. Quite dry. Good experience. I buy the comment on acidity and tannin. I can even buy the red berry finish. I think. Pretty costly, but nice stuff. Label on bottle neck says Semi Sweet. Finishes dryer than that, IMO.

500ml bottle from the co-op $2.99 good deal. Pours out a pale golden no head. Nose is spice nutmeg apple and a sweetness. Taste is more of the apple with a over ripe touch and a nice little spice blend. I like it.

Corked bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with barely even bubbles. Aroma is apple and a lot of floral. Body is slick, almost a bit oily. Mostly sweet with a bit of apple skin tart. Not a trace of heat for me. Nice change. Ice ciders seldom come my way.
