Draft. Pinkish beer with a cream head. Tart aroma. Tart/light sour flavor with light cherries. Medium bodied. Tartness/light sourness linger with cherries and light citrus.

Single from Appalachian, $5.22, feels pricey. Mojito glass at home.
Pale orange hazy, thin head.
Veggie, tropical, green strawberry, funky papaya/pear sweet nose.
Super soapy, no joke. Hyper grapefruit, apple hooka, pie spice, thick coating, veggie bitterness. The nasty soapiness dies down in scale as it warms, but how did no one notice this cold? Low onion thankfully.
ABV warmth, nice acidity, slurry, very bright.
Decent.

Bright citrus hops, tangerine and grapefruit zest and a hint of lime, tinged with peach and berry notes. Finishes crisp but with somewhat lax carbonation. Still a good pint.

Pounder from Appalachian; $4.95. No born on date, but this Anniversary beer was just released last month.
Lo-Ball glass at home. Glad this isn't a hazy. Middling 14k gold, decent head, thin but lingering froth.
Scent is a meld of dark berries, dried apricot potpourri & confectionary, emitting a soft pillowy nose.
Even though it's a west coast, they still use these silly new hops, so I'm getting that rot-y sweet onion flavor, green melon & dank, over the more traditional Citra brightness. Bitterness is earthy & really astringent, which is a save. Taste has a soapy-bitter peach & onion thing on the finish.
Super dry, pithy, dry mouth, thin body, slight salinity, nice 7% warming without the ugly booze flavor. Excellent body.
Good+. Would be better with more traditional hops. Glad these folks are still brewing.

Single via Appalachian. Canned 11/05/25, so barely a month old. Pint glass during Friday Night Chats.
Brown ale, not much head.
Marshmallow & itchy rye nose, pretty good.
Thin, caramelized, rice sweetness, a little cola, very weak clove. Some acidity, faint lemon, medium char.
Very low carb, sticky but almost no residual body, a twinge of booziness.
Okay-ish.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy amber orange pour. Finger-high creamy beige head. Aromas of sweet malt, vanilla, allspice, cardamom and cinnamon. Flavor is light and bready, with notes of prior mentioned spices. Tastes like a bad cup of cold chai tea. Brief, bitter finish. Was expecting more. Meh!

Can from Tavour. Pours dirty hazy gold with a decent but transient white head. Aroma of pale non-bready malt and citrus with melon and other things. Med body. Juicy but towards dry. Decently bitter. The flavor composition is strangely mixed. Citrus, melon, coconut, earth, pith and on and on. I can't parse it completely. There's always something different coming up. Really good flavor tho.

Armsby draught, 11/19/25, as pictured.
Rich bourbon is easygoing and not boozey. Barleywine element is darker, without the typical big toffee-caramel. More of a black barleywine, I guess. Bourbon spice, vanilla and light chocolate all playing well together.
Rich, big bourbon is dry and spicy. Unapologetically large in the flavor but absolutely delicious, with huge lead, vanillla, oak tannin and mild chocolate as the malt intertwines. Fruity cherry, light caramel and big vanilla lingering. Super malty but nice and dry. Well, I'm now a believer in FF's BA barleywines and stouts.

Armsby draught, 11/19/25. As pictured.
Funky and aromatic with a gin/lime character and rich barley behind it. Not too acidic, but also not really getting any traditional saison character (but also not getting any crude phenols/esters).
Rich and fruity with a very different character than the nose. There is plenty of actual saison yeast, and the real, cooler fermented stuff showing no clove and banana. Good acidity on the edges of the palate, but light. Deep texture with honey and rustic bread to easily balance. Super flavorful and interesting while also being very approachable, which is important for a style which has fallen out of favor. Sort of in the realm of what Oxbow is doing but softer, gentler, maltier.
