$4.94 pint can from Appalachian, canned 3/18. Sweet. Iffy price but I like me some fresh Fonta.

Pint glass at home. Dull, pale, filtered gold, decent head, dirty lace.
Herbal & spicy lemon nose.
Mellow herbal, lemon verbena, honey, light cracker, a little pith. Kinda west coast-lite.
Lightweight to low carb, touch of boozy bite. Some starch keeping it from being too thin.

Okay.

Can, 6.2% ABV. Very dark brown, a dense cm of light tan head. Gentle roasty aroma with bread, mocha, hints of berries, mere suggestions of smoke. Creamy texture. Smoke is more obvious upon a taste; the salt is more a hardness beneath the light, creamy texture. Crackery bread. Moderate roast, decent bitterness, salty end. Nothing dominates and it's almost like everything is a distraction from everything else. Clever.

Interesting idea—IPA + carrots!—but the execution is just kinda odd, with muted hop notes against an earthy-floral carrot sweetness and a touch of pine on the back end. Worth trying but one is plenty.

Finding a lot of tasty WCIPAs lately and Your Tai is no exception. Notes of dank, melon, stone fruit, orange, and mango, with a mineral-pine bitterness on the back end. Good beer.

Bottle shared with others. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has tart lemon and raspberry with light grain and funk underlying. Flavor has a nice rich tart raspberry with a bit of sweet grains and a light funky note.

750ml is an opaque brown, beige head.  Nose has brown sugar and malt and booze.  Definitely get barrel.  Some heat and I swear you get some tequila.  Witchhazel.  Malt and brown sugar.  Finished hot, sticky.  6 7 6.5 6 6.5

Helluva pedigree, but seems to fall a little short of greatness. Notes of papaya, grapefruit, white grape, and a touch of melon, followed by a slight mineral bitterness but not a whole lot else on the back end. Easy-drinking, but could use a little more West coast.

Can shared by SaltyGrog at Chapel Hill tasting: Poured a yellow semi-translucent with a white head that’s dissipated to a ring. Aroma is nice hops bouquet, fruit, citrus, orange. Nice hops forward taste, but then subdued to citrus and grain.
