Nice dry Irish stout, full of roasted malt and unsweetened chocolate and a touch of cascara, with lingering coffee notes and a bitter, dry finish. Good pint.

Dark brown. This one's pretty thick. More of a fudgey aroma, thick body, with some coconut, and then the finish gets more prominent as it goes. This doesn't seem to have the amount of complexity that I'd prefer in a beer this size. However, it's still quite good. The alcohol is relatively strong in the finish, and that seems to take away from the complexity a bit. Not 100% sure what to make of this.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose has vanilla upfront, dark sugars, subdued barrels, and a touch of coconut. Flavour reveals huge coconut notes upfront, with big, boozy, bourbon barrels, some dark sugars, and a touch of vanilla. The carbonation seems a tad excessive and/or the palate seems excessively gloopy, but there’s a good depth and reasonable balance of flavour.
