19oz stein at Whippoorwill. Made with pecan wood. Clear, pale gold, creamy, lingering head. Weak sweet smoke, sweet grain. Taste is oaty, lemon, slight tang, significant maple smoke, wheat-y finish. Surprising acid. Probably had this before. Internet says no. Very solid.

Clear single from Appalachian; $4.53, a whole 14 cents cheaper than the Paloma. Pint glass at home. Intense, peppery sweet cherry nose, slight savory veggie note. Twangy sweet cherries, sweet n sour, lemon, a little vinegar-y, hibiscus floral, lingering cherry skin. Sea salt blends right in. Strong flavors. High acid, strong tartness, medium low soda carb, semi-sweet. Okay to good. Needs some harsher carb. Not very refreshing like other variants.

$4.67 clear bottle single from Appalachian. Chilled at home. Half straight from the bottle half in a pint glass. 41111448202255C Hazy, oily orange gold, quick soda fizz. Veggie, lemon-lime, sour, white bread nose. Sour, twangy, herbal sweet, lingering bitter lime peel, grapefruit pith, heavy on the salt.Maybe a touch of oxidation? Cam Off-dry finish. Lightweight, minerally, a touch numbing. Dense flavor. Salt left on my lips. Very, very refreshing.

Single from Appalachian. Canned on 5/7, in the fridge since 6/14. Pint glass at home. Partially jellied, dusty, weak protein haze. It's starting to clear a bit but will stay somewhat obscured. Dull medium gold. Tall, bleach white rocky foam but it doesn't last. Active. Leafy, orange, honeysuckle & melon nose; calcium. Semi-sweet breakfast cereal grain. Taste is strong with melon rind & green table grapes with potent & lingering green tea astringency. Very slight lemon. Spike of bitter summer lettuce on the drying finish. Slight body, bright, good acidity, boozy taste for just 4%. Surprisingly good but too pricey at nearly $5 for a pounder after tax.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Clear copper color. Frothy tan head dissipates to a small cap. Earthy, toasted malt aroma. Some dried fruits as well. Sweet toffee flavor upfront. Rich and malty with obvious notes of rye grain and red fruits. Moderately smooth. Some nuttiness on backend.
