Do aft at the Handlebar. Deep golden pour, small but sturdy white foamy head. Soft grainy aroma, bready. Taste adds a light crisp snap to the malty, bready base. Paired with a nice smooth, creamy feel. Mild lingering bitterness.

Pours a really lovely burnt umber from a can. It almost has a glow to it. Cream colored head with foamy bubbles. Aroma not too present, but I've got the rona right now. Whiskey notes in the mouth, toffee and malt. Good beer.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, opaque, thin beige head. Whiskey first in the aroma, sweet, malty, raisins. Whiskey leads the taste as well, coupled with rich sweet malts and pit fruit notes. Whiskey flavors but does not feel too boozy, despite the he 9.9% ABV.

22 oz. Bottle. 2021 vintage. Aroma of vanilla, caramel, weak barrel. The flavor is heavy on malt with hints of prune, plum, fig. Barrel is very lightly noticeable in the finish. This leans heavy on the dark fruit characteristics. Pretty average for a BA brew.

2021, bottle 7 of 1550, drunk 1/14/23. Clear dark auburn, small, dark beige head fading to ring steadily. Caramel and bready malt, not all that much whiskey, but maybe some light pepper and spice. Certainly soft and nicely aged. Vanilla, cream, red fruit. Aromatic but just strangely medium malt-heavy. Soft, rich, malty, maybe not so attenuated. Kinda corny and heavy-vanilla. Some alcohol and moonshine. Bitter edge on the end. I don't ever get doppelbock. Very intense and acidic with huge acidic red fruits, massive plum, date, fig, prune. Weird stuff. Very unfocused.

12oz can at Hops & Bottles. Medium brown pour, small off-white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet. Taste follows with raisins, maltiness and enough sweetness that it seems this beer is trying to be a doppelbock.

Amber, slight haze, med head. Soft body, gentle cashmere hop, juicy peach sort of notes. Not bad, very mellow.
