On tap at McGullicuddy’s, Essex Junction, VT. Not sure why, but they poured it into a snifter. The rest is based on observations because of incorrect glassware.
The appearance was a glossy yellow color with a thin layer of white foamy head but that just dissipated into oblivion. No lace.
The aroma takes on some citrus, super subtle pine and an underscore of danky onion.
The flavor blends the sweet danky onion to the citrus and let’s the pine come in finely. No aftertaste but a quick semi-sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation moves nicely, fairly low.
Overall, pretty good APA that I would have again.

On tap at Altamont. It pours a pale yellow gold color with a white head. The aroma is nice with some peach, apricot, funk, light barrel, hints of bran flakes and lemony/orange lactic acid. The flavor is pleasant with white wine, a little peach, alcohol, some oak and bacterial complexity. Tart, but not hugely sour. A pretty nice first effort. The bran flakes I picked up in the aroma was the only thing I can really complain about other than a lack of depth that the top beers in the style have. Seemed a bit more alcoholic than 5.2% as well. I enjoyed it for the most part though.

On draft at Altamont. Mike, I disagree! It pours a lightly hazed yellow color with a thick off white head. The aroma has pineapple, lemon with hints of mango. Smells pretty juicy with lots of citrus and some light onion spice. The flavor has big pineapple, mango and a little lemon peel. Super juicy and thick bodied. Not as much of the onion thing as in the aroma. Medium bitterness that comes across as citrus zest. Pale maltiness other then some light honey. Very good.

On draft at Beer Baron in Livermore. It pours black with a light brown head. The aroma has rich dark chocolate with vanilla latte and maybe a hint of marshmallow. Nutty coffee notes as well. The flavor is a bit more coffee forward with dirty roasted coffee and hard roasted, smoky grains. It’s pretty full bodied and creamy with strong dark chocolate, smoky ash and spent coffee grounds. Pretty good, although it tastes a bit faded. Not sure if it’s an old keg or not. The silky creamy body was probably it’s best feature.
