About
Adam and Grace Robbings opened Reuben’s Brews in 2012, after Adam’s award-winning homebrewing career, naming the brewery after their first child, Reuben.
The original brewery and tasting room in Ballard closed to the public in 2015 when our Taproom opened, but we still brew pilot batches here every week on our 5bbl system. Our Taproom features a brewery right in the middle of the tasting room, where we brew batches of beer that you’ll taste in both here, at The Brewtap, and in distribution. Our system here is 15bbl. In 2019 a new production brewery opened. This is where we brew the majority of the beers you see in cans and bottles on our 30bbl brewhouse, it is also home to The Brewtap, our second tasting room.
At our family brewery we brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. We know making that extra effort is worth it. From your everyday favorites beers to our innovative new releases, we help you grow your love of beer.

Very cloudy, bright mango, pi�a, toronja. Taste has a lot of rich pommelo, bright with a kiss of sweetness. There’s a bit of yeastiness but nothing too distracting.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a light clear golden color with no head. Very nice coffee bean aroma and flavor. Light cream, a little buttery. Coffee lingers, but overall quite refreshing. Unique beer. Good stuff.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a dark brown color with a nice, Almost surprising fresh hops aroma. Light spice and caramel. Dark fruit, plum, grape, and raisin. Finishes malty with some more spice. Very tasty beer.

22 Oz bottle shared at Special Brews. Pours a dark amber color with a fizzy head. Flavor is nice. Very malty with some nutty flavor and a little rye, though I might just think the rye is there since I?m so used to it from these guys. Toasty flavor and a bit of caramel. Overall a good, tasty beer.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is lovely and robust, full of piney hops, some underripe pitted fruits and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is wonderful as well, with robust piney hops, resin, and just enough malt to hold it all together. Everything is perfectly balanced and cohesive. A fantastic triple IPA.

Draft - Lots of Skunky weedy hops on the nose with pine. Cleanish gold with a decent white head. So well balanced, orange,Mandarin, pine and a really nice light bitterness. Very nice.

Flight at brewery. Brown color with a lacing that sticks around. Mineral English character with lots of earthy English woodsy malts. Nice soft mouthfeel. I forgot how tasty porters can be without black patent malt. Low bittermess, very drinkable, low acidity. Probably the most interesting beer I have had from Reuben’s.

Draft - Grainy and some spice. Play gold with a decent white head. Sweet citrus, grains and light spice with a sweet finish. Biscuity, grainy malts prevalent.

Draft - Roasty chocolate. Deep jet black with a decent light brown head. Bitter roast malts and a long slick oatmeal finish. Not bad, but not as interesting as some of the others.
