Pours black, scent is dry, intense, roasted coffee. Taste is full, roasty, sharp, coffee forward. Very good, but not my preference. Coffee forward for sure.

Schenkt als motorolie, dik en zwart, en een dunne donkerbruine kraag die niet lang blijft. Geur is zoet, vanille, zoete chocola, een tikje "vegetal" (van de peper ws). Retronasaal: zoet, chocola, vegetal. Smaak is vol zoet, ook een vaag zuurtje, lijkt geen infectie, eerder ook van de peper. Dikke volle body. Peper hitte is medium, blijft wel hangen. Ik vind het lekker, maar het mag van mij wel wat minder zoet.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2026) Black colour with brief, bubbly, beige head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with notes of sweet espresso, dark chocolate, cacao, vanilla and roasted nuts. Malty, roasted, vinous taste with sweet espresso, cacao, dark chocolate, vanilla, cashew nuts, soy sauce, liquorice and a balanced cacao bitterness in a warming, sweetish finish. Full body, sweet. Rich, warming and powerful. And with a name that sounds like it would be taken from a song by Ulcerate. Very nice.

Nitro. Vrijwel zwart met een zeer fijne bruine kraag die mooi blijft hangen. Geur is zoet, boozy, geroosterd. Retronasaal: zoet, alcohol, rood fruit. Smaak is zoet, iets geroosterd. Dik mondgevoel. Zeer zachte koolzuur. Lekker, maar uit fles wellicht wat subtieler. Een klein glaasje is genoeg.

Draft at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 22nd April 2026. Pours black, thick and creamy with a thick dark tan head. Taste is fudge, chocolate, very sweet, nice and smooth.

Malty, roasted, vinous taste with sweet espresso, tonka beans, cacao, vanilla, liquorice, ginger, orange peel and a balanced roasty bitterness in a warming finish. Full body, sweet. Heavy, complex and spicy. Rich and really tasty. Very nice.

Bottle from Beerdome. Sweet with chocolate, sugar, roast, syrup, some alcohol. Strong sweet flavour, light to mild bitter, light booze. Nice but overdone on the sweetness.

Bottle from Beerdome. Sweet and full-bodied with dark malt, tonka, soft roast, chocolate, sugar, some alcohol. Not picking up a lot of ginger, but there's a little fruitiness from the orange peel. Medium sweet flavour. Sweet but tasty.

Opaque colour, no head. Strong aroma of tonka beans and cinnamon bun. Also booze (salmiakkikossu!). Full-bodied. Sticky, roasted, sweetish, tonka beans, ginger, booze in the flavour. Bottled 07-12-2025 maybe needs some time. Now quite rough.

Tap at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, by the canal - still nice enough, 3rd December 2025. Pours thick - this is a nice one lots of pepper evident - one of their best for me
