Bottle, bb 9/25. Bottle says 8..1% ABV. Dark brown with a dense cm of beige head. Aroma of strong bread, spices, brown sugar, stewed and dried fruit. The spices don't seem overdone. Perhaps they're a little more prominent upon a sip, partly because the palate is rather lighter than expected. Moderately sweet, more doughy than bready with both yeasty and actual spices before moderate bitterness.

Color caoba oscuro, marrón con destellos rojizos. Espuma muy abundante al servirla en la copa, de burbuja grande y retención muy buena.
En aroma se distingue el caramelo, cereal tostado y alguna especia como la vainilla. En boca, además de los aromas, se aprecian frutas oscuras, pasas y el dulzor del caramelo. Final con un amargor muy leve y retrogusto muy definido a brandy o algún licor similar. Carbonatación media, que aporta una sensación agradable en boca.
Gran dubbel, cerveza con mucha clase.

Color ámbar claro, turbia, espuma color crema abundante de buena retención y bastante residuo. En nariz se percibe malta tostada, caramelo, galleta, banana, especias. En boca es muy maltosa, cuerpo medio, primer trago conteniendo cierto dulzor y notas de caramelo, malta y frutos secos, final amargo y seco. Correcta y aceptable sin echar cohetes.

Margie noticed this on the huge beer menu in Cafe Botteltje on 22nd October 2024, I'd just skimmed past it thinking it was the regular Corsendonk offering you see all the time in Belgium. Anyway I decided to have a bottle and I'm glad I did. Golden orange body, clean and clear, on top a white crown. Nice, easy going, boozy blonde/tripel.

Bottle (from DeBiertonne). Reddish amber colour, mediumsized pinkish head. Aroma is cherries, some mild wood and mild parfumes and some mild nutty tones. Flavour is cherries, some wood, nutty and some mild floral tones.
